I have recycled since 1990; my favorite book of the Apocrypha is Judit; years ago I spent summers working in Valdez Alaska and lived in a tent two of those summers; every year I set out 48 tomato plants and give away the tomatoes; some of the people featured in The Foxfire Book were distant kin of mine; working outside in really hot weather I can judge the onset of hyperthermia by whether or not I can mentally diagram a sentence; I have always taken a small amount of pride in the fact that not everybody gets my jokes.
My nickname is one of those jokes. Most think it's something dirty in light of me being tall...but it's really a joke about the carpet in my bedroom when I was a kid...tall shag carpet. Really!
I've not seen very many profiles here that talk about sex, and that is too bad. Anyone who says they don't like it, or don't want it, is lying. So how come hardly anybody ever talks about it?
I'll talk about it because I am not a liar, and besides, I am thinking it will ultimately make my life easier if I just talk sex here, up front.
I am not shy about wanting to pleasure and ravish the body of a woman I find beautiful for who all of who she is, in ways that will make her memories of nights spent with selfish men fade into obscurity.
But I want more. I want the woman who will give me her heart, mind and soul. I want it to the point that she becomes the woman who makes me lose interest in meeting any other women. The woman who gives me that, gets it back in return. I might not know who she is, or where she is, but I will know when I meet and get to know her.
How about I describe the seemingly-mythical woman I'd like to meet? Would like to meet a woman who could be a lot like me or a lot different than me. Looks are what gets my attention at first; intellect and spirit is what will keep it.
She'd be a woman comfortable with her lot in life, feel good mingling with others, and choose to revel in life's positives more than wallow in life's negatives.
I like a girl who's a strong woman not afraid to speak her mind, but not so tough that she doesn't show me her girly side with the full range of emotions every woman has.

Hosting a morning radio show called: "Go Fish" in Huntsville, Al. is a very demanding gig, and my hours are long and unpredictable. I've been accused of being a work-a-holic, and I suppose that is true to a certain extent. I am dedicated to my career.
That said... I do get to do a lot of fun and interesting things for my job! Having someone to share those experiences with would be super-keen-neat-o, but it's been difficult to find a female type person who, after she grows tired of the concerts, shows, and free T-shirts, would remain satisfied with just plain old ME. --That may sound a bit narcissistic, but it is a bit frustrating to discover a lady’s true feelings don’t extend past meeting Ozzy backstage, or having a bottomless supply of free CDs! But I digress..
Jilted bitterness aside, what I really want is a kind-hearted girl with a sweet face and an understanding nature. A friend keeps telling me that I’m: “Looking for a custom-fit mate, in an off-the-rack society.”
Not sure what depressing fortune cookie he read that from, but I honestly believe that my patient-picky-ness will one day be rewarded, and I will find the one person who, just by her presence, makes me wish I had an extra hundred years of life to share. Someone who instills that confidence of knowing we haven’t merely “settled” for one another. I married someone I was very certain had that quality, but impatience and youth pushed us apart. Why do I bring it up in my profile? Simple… Just like the strongest drug, I got a taste of what genuine love felt like, and I’ve been chasing that feeling through years of loneliness and failed relationships. I’ve been hanging on to the belief that fate, not the internet would bring my person to me. However, when I finally realized that fate may not have my forwarding address (I move quite a bit.) I figured I’d give “FATE.com” a shot!
Now that this has become a bit lengthy, describing any other mundane stuff about me would be kinda pointless. However… I will tell you I have no children, but I do have two dogs. I play the drums, but am not in a band this week. I spend most of my free time either watching how army-ants build their colonies on the Discovery Channel, or riding my Kawasaki ZX-10R all over creation. I’ve never been in jail, been arrested, or had a restraining order filed on me. I don’t drink, but have no problem with those who do. I don’t smoke or do drugs. I am 45 years old, but look 33 when I shave. I’m spiritual but not religious, I’m very handy with tools and have no problem killing spiders if you’re too afraid to do so yourself.

Being a Lady is more about attitude, behavior and Self-Respect. A true Lady in a fine black evening gown and .4" syiletto's can be just as classy, respectful and extremely feminine the next day in jeans, sweatshirt, ball cap and a pair of Nikes...as the night before!!!
I believe a Lady should be a Lady, regardless! Just as a man should be a gentleman, respectful and act the same on dates 1,2,3 as he would at 6 months, 5 years and 25 years!!! Never stop trying & acting like you behaved, when BOTH were still in that initial dating & impressing mode! That goes for BOTH people!
I want the same in my Lady (not just a woman), as I ask of myself. Again 50/50 relationship based on Mutual EVERYTHING (Honesty, Respect, Loyal. Open Communication, etc...)!! Must have a witty sense of humor or hopefully understand mine. As life has enough drama and comedy gives us that great. & easy relief.
