I also love technology and tinkering with any kind of computers and gadgets. I recently earned my second bachelors degree (after almost two decades as a journalist, I've reinvented myself and earned a degree in Information Systems). I'm launching a second career in the IT field and looking forward to seeing where it will take me. I guess that's the nerdy, geeky side of me.
I like to travel and see new places and people that are different from what I experience in everyday life. I love trying new restaurants and new types of food. I'm an avid fan of the Food Network and I enjoy trying new recipes in the kitchen or on the grill. That's the curious and creative side of me.
I also love to learn and grow. I hope to be better tomorrow than I am today. That's the ambitious and intellectual side of me. There's also a spiritual/religious side of me that I'd be willing to share with the right person.
As for what I'm looking for in a woman, I'd have to start with a person being sincere and genuine. Tell me what you think, not what you think I want to hear. Be open and honest with me. After that, make me laugh or make me stop and ponder what you just said. Accept me as I am, just the way that I'll accept you for who you are. I'm laid back...simple....casual. Some would say "casually intellectual" but still simple. I'm comfortable either way. I've learned that I need someone who is also both...someone balanced.
I think I'm politically and socially balanced. I wouldn't do well with an ultra-conservative or ultra-liberal person.
I like doing anything outdoors...love the water, camping and boating. Traveling is always a good time, even simple road trips to "nowhere". I don't watch TV much. I like to watch movies now and again but I don't care to sit inside. I WILL watch news or football but will skip the games to be outdoors.
I love sports but don't play very often. For the most part, I spend my time doing things with my little princess.
My ideal mate is honest, selfless, committed and dedicated...... then.......flexible, intelligent and attractive. I'm value character more than "accomplishments" or personality.

Ok ladies, I'm sure you heard it all before...I'm a great guy with great qualities...blah, blah, blah, here's the truth....I'm 44 years old, I love my family and friends. I care nothing about the bar scene (I don't think you will meet the mate of your dreams in a bar) I am not a man that needs "molding" to meet a woman's needs. I am confident in myself and who I am.(Not cocky sounding..I hope) I love spending time @ the lake boating with my family and friends or hanging out @ the beach.
