I've had an enjoyable time here, and have managed to meet a few really good people. The problem is that over about three years, I've met just that- a few. None lasted past one or two meetings. (We always have a fabulous time together, but then my e-mails go un-answered, and they disappear.) In most cases, the people I contact won't even take the time to write a rejection note.
I don't mean to sound bitter. I am absolutely not. Frustrated? Yes. Match has merely become a microcosm of the rest of my dating life, which has become a stark realization that a guy like me- funny, intelligent, compassionate, with quite a bit to offer- is destined to be alone.
Most of my female friends tell me I deserve someone really special- and they're often surprised no-one has snatched me up. Perhaps it's because they already know me. The ones who don't, don't seem willing to get to know me. This is my lot in life. This is why Match has become an expense that is not giving a return on investment.
