Date a man from Montrose, United States. Update: I'm recovering from neck surgery performed on May 3rd - vertebrae fuse to fix damage from car accident. I'm in a cervical collar and have lots o' movement restrictions for another 6 weeks :(

I'm a quirky, geeky, independent, chivalrous, nerdy, fun guy who has big dreams of revolutionizing the software world. Mad scientist, goofball and gentleman all rolled into one.
I'm a kid at heart - love to be goofy, tell corny jokes and break into totally random stand-up comedy mode (I've always toyed with idea of being a voice actor - to me, Mel Blanc had the coolest job). I love to make people laugh. I don't think it's healthy to take yourself too seriously and do stupid stuff like not admit when you're wrong. I live by the quote "the greatest weakness of all is the great fear of appearing weak"
Education and pursuit of greatness is important to me. I feel everyone should pursue a career and be all they can be.
I don't sweat the small things - waiters being late with food, accidental spills, getting cut off in traffic. I also believe in "time is money" - I'd rather pay $10 for valet in Hollywood than circle around neighborhoods for 15 minutes trying to find a parking spot (this is one of my pet peeves).
I don't watch a lot of TV, but when I do it's Netflix or stuff like nature documentaries, Spongebob Squarepants, Looney Tunes, Friends and Big Bang Theory (awesome).
Politics - I know enough to have an opinion but that's about it... I don't follow things closely. If I do it's stuff like people trying to take away human rights (like Prop 8). If I do happen to catch news it's NPR Radio, BBC World and America News.
I get into a lot of random activities such as hiking, skating, biking, weight lifting, snowboarding. I love to work and play but I also love my rest.
You - lady I'm searching for..... you are cultured, confident, pretty, liberal, smart, funny, charming, nerdy/quirky/silly. You're not a wall-flower. You don't have a profile loaded with scantily-clad pics - that's a huge turn-off to me. You can handle dive bar situations and professional settings. You show me new things and expand my world. You don't cringe at the thought of 3 mile walks, snowboarding, biking, etc. You let me be a gentleman. You're not in a scramble to meet some age deadline for marriage. You understand the guy doesn't pay for everything all the time once you're "official." We can poo around each other with the door open - full volume (I kid I kid... but seriously... we should be comfortable enough to joke about stuff like this).
You live by yourself (if you have roommates or live at home... it's not gonna work - yes really). You have your own hobbies. Your career is stable and you love what you do. You have your own dreams. You appreciate your personal space and respect mine. We are on the same level stability/maturity/happiness wise. Financially, I don't care if you make more or less than me. What's most important is that you're able to support yourself comfortably.
You don't believe in mind-reading and find communication important for everything - love, food, life, sex, finances, kids, marriage, pepperoni or mushrooms, etc.
Stuff you may wanna know about sooner than later :) - I don't work the kind of job where I can immediately answer text messages & phone calls during the day. I feel weird about diamonds - "symbol of love" from industry supporting child/slave labor that throws mining cities into military/civil turmoil... there's other gems symbolizing love that don't come from that world. Also believe alimony for both sexes should be banned.
