I moved to the Denver area in February, and its definitely was the right choice. I am an eye doctor up in Longmont by trade, but not to worry I am not that nerdy ( at least I like to think so :).) Was born and raised in the midwest, so Im' pretty good peeps.
I like to do all the normal Colorado stuff (hike, ski, raft, etc...) I am pretty active hike 3 or so times a week, gym 4 times/week. But I definitely don't loose sleep if I don't make it to the gym because happy hour or a Rockies game, or anything else sounded fun that day. I have a pass, and thus I Ski quite a bit during the winter.
I became a Dr. because I like to help people, and genuinely enjoy folks. That's can be kind of rarity in my field, so I thought I would throw that out there. In general I'm like everyone else I like to have fun and think mean people suck. I have a difficult time understanding people that are unhappy with life, why not change it and make it better. Otherwise suck it up and smile things get better.
My hopes for the online dating thing is to find a friend to have fun with and that makes me smile on a daily basis. I worked pretty hard in my 20's to get here (i.e. job and Denver), so I'm happy and content with my life. Would be sweet to find someone to share it with. I just moved to Colorado a couple of months ago, and I have thoroughly enjoyed exploring this huge outdoor playground that is now in my backyard. The local running trails are fantastic, and I'm looking forward to exploring the mountain biking routes. I'm quickly learning that these interests come standard out here. So, check: I'm your standard Colorado outdoorsy guy (hiking, skiing, climbing, etc...) I really enjoy live music, especially bluegrass and classical, and I hear there are some great festivals in the summer here. I was lucky enough to do a lot of traveling in graduate school (I did a lot of field work for my research project), and I loved every minute of it. I hope to make all 7 continents someday (5 down, including Antarctica). I enjoy cooking, but I have a forgiving palette so I probably think my food tastes better than it is. I did grow up vegetarian (hippie parents), and am mostly a vegetarian now. I am slowly branching out to seafood these days, but that's as far up the food chain that I've gone.
I'm looking for someone who has has a passion for learning new things, and who also loves to relax and have fun. I'm interested in meeting and getting to know new people; if it becomes something else, so be it. I appreciate genuine conversation; a "flighty" personality is a huge turn-off to me.

Meet people from Alabama, United States. I think the easiest way to describe me is to say that I am loyal and loving friend who is constantly looking for a challenge. I don't mean challenge in the sense that I want to be competitive (though I do have a competitive side), but I say challenged because I'm looking for that someone who pushes me to be a better man. Whether that is through our relationship, or through the drive to continuously learn about ourselves, I just want to know that the person next to me is there to see life with me shoulder-to-shoulder and isn't afraid to hold my hand and push me a bit when I need it, just as much as I would be there for her too.
I grew up here in Boulder and after 8 years in the Air Force and as a Consultant living in Los Angeles I finally found the opportunity to come home to the place I love most. Being the true Boulderite I am I am constantly active, I love to workout and go for a run or a bike ride. I love to try new things and explore, but it's definitely more fun to explore with someone else. At the same time, I also love those quiet nights at home, spending time together cooking and watching movies on the couch.
If anyone were to talk to my friends they would say that I am the type of person that knows when to be intense and push hard, but at the same time can be quiet and shy in other moments. They'd say I am very calm and relaxed and am one of the most loyal, caring, and giving person they have ever met.
When I look back on my life, I want to be able to say that I not only lived life, I did it to the fullest and to the best of my ability, which includes finding that special someone who wants to do the same. I love Colorado and have no problems calling this beautiful state home. However, I want and will travel someday. I've never been to a "tropical paradise" so that will be a definite destination on my list. I'm looking for someone who wants to try new things.
