When I get something out of a vending machine (rare) I almost always leave the change because I know how excited people get when they think they "won" some extra money back.
I recycle, shop with cloth bags, have a membership with The Center for Biological Diversity, and buy organic food when I have the opportunity. Yet, I drive a truck. Seriously, figure me out...
I sing when I drive. I sound gooood.
I believe the single most important quality in the people you let get close to you is loyalty. If you were to ask my close friends what is the best quality about me, its loyalty.
Personality-wise, I'm a rather complex cross of select attributes from Red Forman, Bear Grylls, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Beaker (the Muppet) and about a dozen or so others that you'll just have to figure out along the way.
I believe I can learn a lot about you by looking into your eyes.
I just bought a running stroller (used, recycle!). No, I don't have any curtain climbers but rather I want a way to fetch groceries via foot power (see my training goal below). I can hear it now..."Awww, that's such a cute...um, sir, that's a watermelon in there." Yes, I'm very proud.
I see most things in life as very black and white. When it comes time to pick sides, there is rarely any doubt about which side I'll be on. If I had lived in the Old West, I would have carried a badge and a Colt Peacemaker. Maybe not the badge. Maybe two Colts.
If we get to the point that we know each other well, I want you to bring crackers to bed and eat them. This will be the famous Would-I-Kick-You-Out-of-Bed-for-Eating-Crackers Test, and is very important.
I'm looking for that feeling like I've known you before. A feeling like "home." I've felt it before and I won't settle for less ever again.
I don't like Vegas, Disneyland, McDonalds, Wal-Mart, Starbucks, hominy, Adam Sandler, Rush Limbaugh, Judge Judy, cruises, people who talk during the National Anthem, golf, video games (however, I rock at strip Pong) reality TV (except The Amazing Race, which I would WIN if I ever got on). I don't wear flip-flops, baseball caps backwards, Elton John sunglasses, t-shirts with the arms cut out, or say phrases that end with the word "on" (like "let's get our grub on").
I like Telluride, Southwest Airlines, spicy V-8, cheese, muscle soreness, the smell of decaying leaves, furry critters, stars, wind through aspens, music with soul, natural peanut butter, Betty White, Jackson Hole, imagination, scars, basil pesto, pretty much anything that follows "hey y'all watch this", Lonesome Dove (the movie), Whac-A-Mole, underwear just out of the dryer, darkdark chocolate, Q-tips, wanderlust, gypsy souls, tailgates, muscadine wine, maps, good back rubs, and a hint of perfume that makes me want to get closer and find the exact location of application.
I don't have good rhythm, but I'll never admit it or give up pretending I do.
Some oddities: I don't float. I never get the hiccups. I had six wisdom teeth (now in a jar!). Once upon a time, I would eat an entire apple pie for breakfast. The only thing I collect: stamps in my National Parks Passport. I believe in magic, karma, ghosts, and aliens. Sasquatch is a little iffy. I'm a newly minted vegetarian. Mmm, soy. I am training for a 50-mile ultra-marathon. I never use umbrellas. My eyes sometimes change colors. I don't own a TV.
I'm not the least bit afraid of growing old or dying, but I'd rather not do either just yet.
I don't believe in "all things in moderation." I do believe in balance. Sometimes.

If you have made it this far, that's a good sign. I'm not looking for my mirror image, you can hate some of my "likes" and love some of my "dislikes." Mostly, I want you to be deep, have character, be active and fit, have a sense of adventure
Meet someone special from Alabama, United States. Ok, no pressure. This should be simple right? I'm an easy going guy, 40 years old. I enjoy going out for dinner, movies and spending time with my close friends. I lived in Tahoe most of my life, with only about 3 years away for school. ...I've got a good sense of humor, and tend to make the people around me laugh. I'm a person that believes while money and material items are nice, I'd rather have happiness and love in my life. I enjoy the outdoors, usually going camping a few times a year with friends. I'm a big fan of going to the movies, as I think the movie experience is best in a theater, with other people. I get a big kick out of people watching, which can be fun with the right person to joke with. I’m not afraid to try new things, and in fact would enjoy spending time with someone that is adventurous. I’m a bit of a hopeful romantic, who believes the best part of a relationship is friendship first. Oh ya one more thing, I'm pretty darn good with a BBQ, I'm looking for someone who can bake really great brownies. Really, I swear, brownies are important. Well kinda.....Someone with a sense of humor is a must.I'm looking for someone who enjoys spending time with another person. As much as the "lone wolf" girl can be great to date, I'm looking for someone that wants to spend time with me. I believe that a relationship is based on trust and friendship first, and I'm looking for someone I can share those ideals with. Humor is a must, as is a stable mindset toward matters of the heart.
