I value collaboration and partnership. Collaboration sums up a good relationship, yes? As the saying goes, men and women are the same species -- but just barely. So reaching over that gender barrier takes effort. For the right woman, it's its own reward. I've got my gender figured out. But a smart woman just sees things I cannot.

I was married once, for a decade. That tripled my joy, in the form of 3 remarkable young rascals. Since, I've been divorced about 15 years, with a few close calls on the romantic front. I live at 7,000 feet elevation (i.e. "Dude 7K"), in the foothills above Red Rocks yet close to downtown Denver. I'm public spirited, analytical but passionate, and can imagine a better way for the world to be. A weekend hobby is a policy workshop on Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan. I also like to design, then build stuff around the house. Latest project: an absurdly romantic streamside deck and hot tub.
Pals used to ring me up on Father's Day because they considered me quite the parent. That's fine but my youngest rascal just fled for college. So? I'm ready to create more purpose in this life. We are social critters, and a great companion always makes us better.

In junior high, I was the shortest guy on the football field. But when it came time to hand out ~30 game jerseys to ~50 guys? I got one. I was a reckless kid, throwing myself around with vast and senseless passion. But I learned leadership and how to close that wide (wide) gap between who we are and who we are capable of being. I was a late bloomer who learned that smarts is an incomplete equation. Instead, it's about character and nerve.
Like most guys, I was not ready for a (real) relationship until my 30s. Since, I've learned to be communicative and value collaboration. For it to work, you gots to care about hearing as much as being heard.
Lastly, like any good Irishman, I have a strong back, good heart, weak mind. Wisdom begins with humility, yes? Oh my yes !
Meet a soulmate from United States. Hi and thanks for checking in. Ever think it's easier to describe "what" you are rather than "who" you are? I like to think I'm just a stable, fun, nice guy. I'm very fortunate to have a good business, lots of diverse friends, great family and many intersting things to be involved with. I've been working on my golf game since I was about 10, and have had skis on my feet longer than that. (Colorado boy, born and bred.) All in all, I have a great life and am only missing that one wonderful woman to share it with.
I like my golf and ski trips with the guys, but love to travel with someone special, too. I don't care much if the event requires shorts or a tux - I'm happy either way. Intelligence is a turn on, as is an athletic woman and a successful one. I like to work out, but it's not an obsession.
I spent many, many years as a volunteer firefighter. The experiences were off the charts and I truly loved it.
