Orginally from the West Coast, I followed my husband to the South and have lived in Birmingham AL for the past 16 years. I was happily married for 30 years to a wonderful man and together we raised 4 children who are now adults and very self-sufficient. My husband died about one year ago, I live alone and am ready to start over with someone special who has similar interests, christian values and lifestyle.
Those who know me best describe me as being being easy to be around, with a fun loving adventureous personality who is willing to try new things. I am down to earth with a kind-hearted spirit who has a strong constitution when faced with adversity. I'm independent and emotionally stable and can financialy support myself. I'm looking for an equal partner, a man who loves
to pamper his woman and to share all of life's ups and downs and be his soft place to fall at the end of the day(so I can pamper him also). I am young at heart and look younger than my years. I've been called a "man's woman" enjoy being sensual and passionate, enjoy watching and attending sporting events . I expect my man to be respectful of my needs and give me freedom to be an individual who may want her own space at times, but am totally devoted and loyal to my companion when I'm with him. Family closeness is important to me, so I need time to support those relationships also.

I live alone now for the first time in my life and I get lonely.
Looking for someone to spend some time with just hanging out and enjoying life. I have two grown daughters,(the oldest lives in Gainesville, Ga., the youngest lives about 5 miles from me (along with my only grandbaby, a little girl born 2-11-2009). They are the loves of my life but they both have their own lives now, so I need a friend or maybe more.
I would love to find a man that would be as good to me as I am to him. He would occassionally offer to cook dinner or help with the dishes(Sharing a chore makes it less a chore). He will find that when he is doing something (from cutting grass to working on a car), I will offer to help if I can. We can cook dinner together, then do dishes together, then sit together and talk or watch a movie or the sunset.
Again, I'm just looking for a man who will be as good to me as I am to him.
I am not here looking for a bed partner (I have volunteers if that was what I wanted). I would love to find someone to spend quality time with, getting to know each other first, becoming good friends and if something else develops then so be it, and if not then we both have someone to do things with. Would like to find someone to laugh with, to cry with, to live with and to die with. Maybe that's a little too much to hope for but we gotta dream, right?

Date a woman from United States. First, I cannot receive email here because I do not subscribe, so please read my profile carefully. I'm a person who loves life & recognizes what a gift it is. I am young at heart and love to be playful, yet mature enough to know when to be serious. I have lots of energy and enjoy doing things...not just sitting in front of a TV. (That is fine if there is something you actually want to watch. I just don't care to try to find something on TV just to pass the time.)
