I never thought I would say that, but I've become an occasional baby sitter for a friend of mine and after surviving a full day of shopping with two young girls, I think I can take on the world. lol But regardless, if you enjoy life and hate drama, we will probably get along well.

I consider myself highly rational and strive for deep understanding of that which holds my attention. Underlying concepts fascinate me far more than the instances of a particular generalization. I hate the thought of subjective morality, but cannot confirm a single objective truth. I am curious, open-minded, humble, creative, competent, and passionate. I value honesty; I will always hold truth in higher regard than the reaction it may produce. I despise persuasion for the sake of persuasion. I would only promote arguments with the intention of uncovering the most rational view available.
I tend to gravitate to areas of interest that can sustain me for long periods of time. Philosophy, music, and mathematics demand high levels of concentration and offer depths of exploration that are unending. I can dig that. My personal relationships are much the same. My friendships are typically very long-lasting, never superficial, and always highly valued.
Those who know me well would describe me as fiercely loyal, highly dependable, and without pretense. Those who do not know me at all might describe me as an a$$hole. I am fine with that.
Bubbly personalities that reek of unfounded, unconditional optimism disturb me. Such traits seem to indicate a willingness to ignore injustice, suffering, inequity, and general human misery. It is not in me to ignore these things, and I could only derive optimism in discovering evidence that they might be diminished or eliminated completely. Those who struggle and fight, with acute awareness of the human condition, and find reasoned optimism, however, are in my opinion are both beautiful and inspiring.
