I feel like a lasting healthy relationship is a lot like a garden, you truly reap what you sow. It takes effort, work, compromise, it needs to be cherished and nurtured to grow, but the rewards are endless. It`s what I believe, it`s how I live, it`s who I am. I have a few dings, a scar or two, broke some bones here and there but it`s from living life, smile. But I still polish up quite well, my body has yet to let me down, and my mind still thirsts for learning. It`s when we stand still that we grow old. It`s like the old saying, if you`re not moving forward, you`re backing up, lol.
I really don`t see why two normal sane adults cain`t meet, have a good time doing whatever, and in the end if it feels great, wonderful. We might have met our match. But if not realize it just wasn`t meant to be. It doesn`t mean that one or the other wasn`t a good person, just means one or both of us just wasn`t right for each other.
I dine out about once a week, breaks the monotony of my wonderful home cooking, smile. I very much prefer living outside the city limits, listening to the night sounds, nature all around, peaceful, private, and definitley a better view of the stars at night. But I also enjoy being within minutes of the city and what it has to offer, so really I get to take advantage of the best of both worlds.
Be warned, I smile a lot. I was born positive and upbeat, and have a very optimistic view of life. My honesty and respect are given freely because it`s what I always expect in return.

I have a perpetual smile and an energetic and optimistic approach to life. I served about 14 yrs (active and reserve) in the Army before becoming a HS English teacher. I've traveled around the world (Italy, Germany, Greece, Turkey, and throughout the States, from Seattle and San Francisco to New York). I’ve settled down here in Alabama, but still would love to visit places such as the Grand Canyon, the Northeast U.S.—and I’m trying to get back to see Italy one more time! The Pepperplace Market is very interesting and I look forward to going back each week. I have been going to estate sales for years and enjoy buying and hunting for those cool and unique things that make a house a home.

By the way...Now that you dropped in to peek....Aren't you tired of looking for that "PERFECT guy" ? He AIN'T out there ladies. So how about giving a good scoundrel a try? We scoundrels are a rare breed these days. We're "almost" gentlemen who wear a semi-gruff exterior/personna, but inside, we're all heart. We're not the kind of guys who bring roses every week.. but will always treat you like the princess that you are. Think Han Solo, or Indiana Jones, or maybe Billy Bob Thornton or Robin Hood.
You should be aware that I am the ideal height, which is to say, about 5'10" – (there is simply no need to be taller than that) 165 lbs, DWM, 47 y/o, nice looking, athletic, brown hair, sexy blue eyes, etc. So...If you're one of these ladies who only want to meet / date gentlemen over six feet in height,with Schwartzenegger muscles -just go ahead and hit that "next" button. I'm NOT for you. (BTW When I am Emperor, I'm going to impose a height and muscle tax on folks who are hunky and over 5'10", because they consume disproportionately more resources than those of us under that height).
Note for you girls who like to dance I don't dance well. This does not prevent me from stumbling about on the dance floors at clubs, however. I'll try to stay out of your way.... and if you're a really serious dancer--I can watch you appreciatively.
If you tolerate (you don't have to actually *like*) wretched old 1960s and 70s sports cars, that's a plus. I will admit that occasionally, my Inner Redneck shows through, and I can be found in an American Muscle Car of that same era -- those headlight-less SS Camaros and Chargers are just so coooool. Just be aware that that if we go out...it will be in a Mustang GT...not a BMW.
Oh, and don't let any Southern guy EVER tell you that he doesn't have an Inner Redneck. He has one. He may be good at suppressing him, like I am, but occasionally, the Inner Redneck is going to manifest. If you're lucky, he won't ever manifest at the dinner table.)

No set recipes for me...Everyone has some nice ingredients....so I have to meet you first to get a taste for the mixture. I'm not really sure what I'm looking for though. Maybe you are the one who can help me figure it all out.
Basically...If you love life...If you are happy with who YOU are and do NOT need a man to improve your self esteem... If you are respectful of others time... If you try to see the good in people first, choose not to hate, have friends and family you love and who love you...
