I enjoy people and I think my friends would say that I have a good sense of humor and I'm fun to be around. Some of my humor is poking fun at myself; I mean, at this point in life who are you kidding if you take yourself too seriously? I have been accused, though, of having an overdeveloped sense of responsibility for doing things like volunteering for grand jury duty. I'm also working with foster kids, which is really rewarding. This is with a local program called CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates. I'm very interested in the current political scene and I get a big kick out of watching all the intrigue and seeing some stuffed shirt get a comeuppance.
I really enjoy eating out at least once a week, going to a good current movie, and weekends at the coast. These are all things I would love to do with a special person. I'm trying to do some real cooking for the first time in my life and I could use some help, seriously. I work out regularly to stay healthly and fit. My ideal match doesn't have to pump iron, but she should like to stay in good enough shape for travel and enjoying the local mountains.

I retired a year early so I could pursue my singing and dancing (tap) activities of which I am still involved, 12 years now! I also do all my own gardening and maintain my home (most of the time)!
