I am a grateful Colorado native and I love my home here in the San Juan mountains where I am fortunate enough to work and play.
My passions are books, writing, art and music, as well as outdoor adventure like skiing and touring, mountain biking, bow hunting for elk, or just hiking casually through the high country or desert.
I never drink or smoke and Im always trying to improve on personal health, physically, mentally and emotionally. I exercise regularly and have recently started to really watch what I eat.
I am sometimes characterized by my friends and co-workers as gruff or blunt and a little bossy; they say this in front of me with a smile, so although I recognize there must be some truth to it, they still seem to like me. I think I am sometimes mis-read and they're not seeing my true self. There is more than meets the eye.
It's difficult to put who I'm looking for into a box. Attraction is a fickle beast, and I can't be so specific as that. It comes down to personality and temperment, the play of the eyes, and comfort ability with self. I really like strong, indepedent, adventurous women, who can be feminine and tough simultaneously. Physical fitness is important to me but you don't have to be a Jillian Michaels.

Meet a soulmate from United States. my major ambition is to enjoy life , and thus far , i've been extremely successful ;~) i am very into Doing things, Not Buying things. i love my toys tho , because they get a lot of use . when i say i love the outdoors , i really mean it ... i get out there . it's mtn. biking one day, hiking the next, then motorcycling, etc. .
i'm looking for someone who's really into adventure, not just wanting it , but who's already living it . i don't expect a partner to do, or excel in all of the sports i love , (she may be better at some) but to have the interest , physical ability , and the passion most of all . i live in one of the most beautiful places on the planet for a damn good reason ... to be inspired daily , and enjoy it as much as possible . i also regularly take advantage of the fantastic array of arts and culture available locally . i don't really go to bars , unless it's for live music or occasional apre ski . i am a morning person ... probably because i dont want to waste daylight . i dont watch or talk sports (unless it's about skiing) and haven't lived with television in 27ish years .
i would rather eat camp-made mac n' cheese at treeline and watch the sunset , than dine out and catch the latest movie (but i will if YOU want to). however , when choosing movies , i will almost always pick a comedy 1st .
my all time favorite live band is The Allman Bros.. i drive a pickup , because i use it as a pickup . i recycle , pick up litter , and do some volunteer work . i'm good with my hands ; a fairly avid DIYer .
i have no tattoos or piercings ; i prefer temporary ornamentation .
i am truly a social drinker only ; i appreciate the benefits of moderation . if you like ripped abs , i have a 6-pack ; it's just behind my 12 pack ! (more chocolate than beer) i don't like red wine , cigars , the opera , nor do i look good in a little black cocktail dress ... just kidding about the wine !
i am a fun-loving person who doesn't take myself too seriously . i enjoy costume parties and have garnered 1st place several times at competitive halloween contests . not long ago, i bungied a life sized teddy bear sitting upright on my truck roof for a month just to see the astonished and happy looks on peoples faces . i can be a study in contrasts ; i like to wear a little camo , but i'm Not into hunting or the military. i love free-form dancing , but i dont dig most "dance music ". i am an accomplished hula-hooper , who is not afraid to be the 1st on the dance floor(or grass) when the music hits me. i enjoy landscape and nature photography (my own and others) i believe in karma(reap what you sow) and yin and yang (no rain - no rainbows) i believe in trying to live more simply , and reducing my footprint on this earth . i dream of living in a cozy solar (active and passive) home .
the natures of men and women are plainly different ; if you want a man , dont expect me to be like your best girlfriend . i am attracted to natural , strong and confident women who are low maintenance and easygoing . it seems many singles here think that if they could just find an attractive looking partner who has this , that , the other and another wonderful quality, then they will automatically have the perfect , long lasting intimate relationship . of course , a large dose of mutual compatibility is important , yet nobody can be perfectly wonderful all of the time. i believe accepting this reality and working with it thru patience , empathy and compassion are crucial to making it happen. a commitment to sharing , listening and understanding is essential . i should not be idealized, since i have my issues (little ones) just like anybody else. i am absolutely NOT "A PLAYER" ,
