Sometimes these cultures are affected in positive ways and more often than not they are negatively affected. It’s hard to gauge prosperity in a community of indigenous people because different cultures value different aspects of life. Our western cultural paradigm tends to view prosperity in terms of dollar amount or gross domestic product. Other cultures put more emphasis on family, friendship and a sense of stewardship to the planet rather than GDP.

My interpretation of mine is intellectual in a goofy/simple sense. ...This is not easy because I'm not one to pin-point my sense of humor. All I know is I think I'm funny almost always:) What makes me smile is composed of many aspects relating to environmental beauty...artificial or natural, specific humor, human behaviors, etc. I am most proud of being a good person (yeah, sounds lame, I know. I don't care! lol) and having a sense of humor, but besides that, my skiing/ other sports' ability, my career/personal development, and my intellect. I am grateful for my family and the love that exists, my physical/mental/emotional abilities (large subject), and the people/spirits that help guide me to living this good life.
I am hoping to attract a very self-driven, individualistic/yet team player, athletic, small-frame high energy person that finds the humor in everything. . . and thinks I'm funny at least half the time;) My social life is limited right now because of my dedication to my passion of big mountain skiing competition, work and school. I grew up in Wisconsin and moved to DC for college. After earning a B.A in psychology I moved overseas for three years only to return to DC for law school. Having never been to Colorado, I figured it would be the ideal place to start my law career. I spent the past four years working and playing in a small mountain community. Wanting to follow my heart, I decided a return back to DC and urban living was in order.
I place my highest values on leading a compassionate, generous, and authentic life. The arts and artistic expression are very important to me. I strive to be lighthearted, playful, and never take myself too seriously. The day I can no longer laugh at myself will be a sad one indeed. I love pushing myself outside of my comfort zone.
I find women who are well educated, read, spoken and traveled sexy and intriguing. I would have to say, and I've been told, that I live a pretty unique lifestyle. I am a navigator/officer on a very large ship, and my job takes me all around the world, literally! Although the pictures I posted dont show it, I am very career oriented, and am extremely stable...and I don't in any way define myself by the things I do for fun (or my job)!!! I just like to have fun outdoors when I am home, and I consider myself lucky to be able to make a living doing something I love!
That being said: I ski, surf, mountain bike, road bike, run, paddleboard, sail, ski( did I already say that?!!), hike, camp, ect, ect.... And I am looking for someone who enjoys the same.
On the non sporty side of things: I've been known to spend time in the kitchen! I appreciate art. I'm looking for another book to read if you have any suggestions. I am addicted to movie theatre popcorn :) I keep up on current events other than pop culture!! that one gets two exclamation points! I appreciate silence, even when in the company of others.I believe being a good communicator and a good listener go hand in hand. It is important to challenge my mind and body on a daily basis. I could spend all day in a good coffe shop with comfy couches drinking coffee and people watching. I enjoy trying new local restaurants. I belong to a wine club ( I signed up while at their vineyard in California). I hope to find someone who will enhance my strengths and support my weaknesses, and in turn I'll do the same for you!
