The mountains, deserts and wild places ARE medicinal to those who truly feel their beauty and can't be without them - the mountains always adjust my perspective - and medicine gives me purpose. A person's health (I believe) is the foundation of so many other parts of their life and being in a position to help others with something so intimate is very important to me.
Still seeking the ever-elusive 'chemistry' and definitely not interested in trying to meet someone special in a bar. Since experiencing the mountains is my greatest passion and where I always find the most happiness and enlightenment (and because that is where I have always had my best appreciated and most meaningful romantic experiences), I'm hoping to find someone to get out and go hiking, backpacking, trail running, skiing, snowshoeing, mountain or road biking and climbing peaks with.
My dog likes to come along too, so you'll have to pass his scrutiny. He's a good judge of character though - so, if you're laid back and like to spend a lot of your free time outside that won't be a problem ;o) Last summer we backpacked, hiked and climbed as many peaks as possible all over Colorado's wild lands. We've also climbed most of Colorado's 14'ers (me since the late '90s him for the last 5 yrs or so), but also enjoy the more challenging and less frequented 13'ers. Durango, Moab, Fruita and Crested Butte are among my favorite mountain biking spots. Getting out of town, renting a cabin outside of a mountain resort or town and eating at good restaurants is one of my favorite things to do.
A few moves ago, I gave away my TV. Don't get me wrong - taking it easy and relaxing in front of the TV here and there is cool........ it's just that I think I'd rather poke myself in the eye than watch most of the programming that's available out there. I also can't believe that someone actually made a movie about a vampire-slaying Abraham Lincoln, but I guess I shouldn't knock it 'til I try it. :0)
I finished PA school recently and am excited to have just begun my new career, to be practicing in a small mountain community as well as having now put the unnecessary crowds and confusion of bigcity life behind me - no, I will happily not be going back. Awesome!
