Date men and women from United States / Colorado / Leadville, 59 year old

Date people from Leadville, United States. Hi there! I’m a fit, active, professional living and working in a small mountain community in central Colorado. I’m 6’2” tall with brown hair (balding/bad hair genes), bespectacled blue eyes (tri-focals soon needed), and a nice smile (with all my own teeth). I’ve never been married and it’s not because I’m weird or anything although some of my friends will argue this. It’s been an unfortunate consequence of having put a career ahead of a relationship and having been born under a wandering star (Ben Rumson Syndrome). I give great back and foot rubs, have eclectic tastes in music (bluegrass to classical), and am a pretty good dancer – at least in the kitchen. I’m a hopeless romantic - Don Quiote in old and dented, but still shining armor who believes that flowers for no reason, opening doors, and helping a lady put on her coat are still important aspects of being a gentle man. I have 2 adopted sons who were both born with birth defects (quadrupedalism, hypertrichosis, elongated caudal vertebrae, and syndactyly). My oldest son is almost 9 and has ADHD (especially when it comes to squirrels and cats), autism (he licks windows), and acid reflux (only when he eats and drinks too fast). My youngest son is 7 and has ADD (tennis balls and dead animal parts really set him off) and has selective hearing loss (he can hear a treat bag opening but not his name being called). I’ve included pictures of them both.
Other things you should know about me include:
I have loved and been loved. Sometimes it hurt.
I believe in miracles, magic, and a Creator.
I collect things.
One of my most prized possessions is a 1951 Jeep.
I volunteer helping people with different-abilities’ learn how to ski.
I say Please’ and Thank you’.
I do laundry, dishes, and windows.
I brush, floss, and shower daily.
I do not kiss on the first date; there can be more than 1 date in a 24-hour period.
I grew up in a small farming community in central Iowa and have a Midwest farmer’s work ethic.
I have baled hay, walked beans, milked cows, ridden pigs and horses, and driven tractors.
I once drop-kicked a chicken. Please don’t tell PETA. I was young and stupid and the chicken was on its way to Sunday dinner anyway.
I can change a flat tire and fix lots of things.
I’m a very good carpenter.
I am not afraid of heights, spiders, or snakes.
I am not afraid to ask for directions.
I am not afraid of commitment.
I am not afraid to go into VS and buy you something sexy.
I'm a pretty good cook especially when I have someone for whom to cook.
The words can’t’ and try’ are not in my vocabulary. I always do my best and as Jedi Master Yoda says, "Do or do not. There is no try."
I don't golf but I will be happy to carry your clubs, drive the cart, open your beverage, or peel a grape for you and I promise I will not do my Carl Spackler (Caddy Shack/Bill Murray) imitation.
I used to play tennis but I started playing racquetball and it ruined my swing.
I have been a wild-land fire fighter.
I am funny.
I am a good listener and can engage in intelligent conversation.
I am a teacher.
I am very patient.
I am kind, generous, compassionate, loving, trustworthy, and sincere.
Like the skin horse, I am REAL and it’s taken me a lifetime to get this way.
I’m looking for a woman who is:
Kind,
Loving,
Honest and trustworthy,
Patient,
Inquisitive,
Sensitive,
Sensual and sexy,
Physically fit,
A good communicator (speaking AND listening),
An animal lover – especially big dogs,
An outdoor enthusiast who likes to mountain bike, ski, canoe, hike, etc. (nothing hard-core - been there/done that)
Passionate about her work, play, family, and friends,
Most comfortable in blue jeans and a t-shirt,
Naturally beautiful,
Low maintenance,
Emotionally and geographically available.
Interested in developing what could be a lasting relationship.
