Date men and women from United States / Colorado / Highlands Ranch, 54 year old

Date a man from Highlands Ranch, United States. I'm looking for a fun attractive good hearted woman with an easy smile, a ray of sunshine.
Myself, I'm kinda hard to classify... I like all kinds of diverse things... concerts, live music, fine dining, beaches, deep-sea fishing, got a house full of orchiids, fly fishing, tennis, beaches, golf, boating, skiing, sailing, hiking, watching movies, cooking, motorcycle rides, landscaping, horseback riding, body surfing, home-made margaritas, Bolder Boulder, hammocks, hot tubs in the snow, crawfish boils, beach volleyball, backpacking trips. I have a great sense of humor and a playful nature.
My music tastes are equally eclectic. I like everything from Bob Marley to Bebel Gilberto, Wilco to John Mayer, G Love to Kings of Leon, Robert Earl Keene to Lyle Lovett, Theivery Corp to Donavan Frankenreiter. I can even dance a bit of two-step and swing. I've recently seen the B52s at Chatfield, Little Feat at winterpark, Will Hoge at Bluebell theater, the Samples at Mo's.
One of my passions is travel. I've been to lots of fun interesting places: Bali (twice), Italy, Mexico (over 40 times), Costa Rica (12 times), Argentina (really want to go back and see Patagonia), Brazil (4times), Dubai, London, Hungary, Turkey, St. Barts, Dominican Republic, Kauai, Afghanistan, many more... I love to travel and hope to take you... traveling with someone to share the experience with is tops in my book.
I'll do 'most anything if it's fun and have somebody fun to do it with. And I'm looking for somebody to do it all with. I love to meet new interesting people. I want somebody adventurous, sweet, honest, intellegent, and sexy.
I do try and keep myself in shape. I've recently lost 30 lbs and am back to a proper weight not seen for the last decade. So I run 3 miles every other day and road bike 10 miles on the others. I'm not a gym rat though. I am trying to eat more healthy, drink less beer. More sushi, less pizza.
Oh yea, I'm brand new to this online dating, so excuses please... It's hard to figure out just what to write down. I tend to simply make a quick wink and hope you'll wink back if you're inclined. In my search for that someone special, I hope to make some good friends along the way too... But that said, I'm really not on here looking just for a friend. (Hope that doesn't come across too contradictory, ha!). I'm enough of a romantic to hope and know there's somebody out there somewhere that will be be my true everlasting soul mate, even if it takes a bit of searching.
And on an entirely other note, I have a strong sense of family and my 22yo son is the most important person in my life. He'll be graduating from CSU this next year (hopefully! knockin on wood). He's turning out to be a pretty good young man (if i don't mind saying so proudly).
Bottom line, I'm easy to talk to... so drop me an email and let's see where it takes us. I'm inclined to do something together early in the introduction, like a hike or a bike or a museum or a drink, just to break the ice. I generally like everyone and you never know if there will be a 'click'...
Yours truly,
Steve

Meet single man from Highlands Ranch, United States. I'm a former New Yorker, grew up on Long Island and lived in Manhattan for 14 years. I've been in Colorado for about 20 years. I've had my own business in the Cable TV industry for 12 years, sold it 5 years ago and started a software business in the same industry. Have done alot of work in Latin America so have traveled there often. Some more in no particular order: I love almost all outdoor activities/sports - at this point its mostly golf and working out, but hopefully I'll do more hiking, skiing and fishing in the future. I need to learn how to fly fish. Maybe some basketball and baseball. Am now trying Yoga. I'm adventurous (been sky diving, scuba diving, to Africa, sat with Grizzly Bears in Alaska, walked with sharks in the Galapagos, went shopping the day after Christmas). I consider myself witty, intelligent, with a good sense of humor, although that may not be apparent here. I love music - I own 2 guitars - some day I'll actually pick them up and play them. I was born on Friday the 13th! - you'll have to decide what that means. I'm easy going and low maintenance but I am fully capable of enjoying the finer things in life. I'm modest - but that may not be apparent here. I also hate writing about myself - and clearly that is not obvious at the moment. My match?? - ok, here she is..... Someone to share the rest of my life with. She's intelligent, adventurous, has a good sense of humor, we share some common interests but at the same time are free to explore our own individuality. She's not afraid to speak her mind and let me know how she feels. She absolutely believes that the world revolves around me (just checking if you're paying attention!). She tolerates most of my imperfections (OK, there are a couple). As I contemplate my next sentence, I realize that I'm starting to create an impossible scenario. So the right combination of some of these qualities will probably work - most important is chemistry, for lack of a better word. Something that we feel for each other that words won't do justice for.

Date a soulmate from Highlands Ranch, United States. I like jokes because they reveal so much about the human condition. I think laughing is very therapeutic and I have a theory that people who laugh a lot are actually saner than those who don't. I also think the ability to laugh means that you can put things into perspective, you don't take yourself too seriously, and you accept the fact that we are all fallible human beings who have the capacity for greatness. What makes YOU laugh?
Another quality I think is revealing about a person is the ability to make and keep friends. "People with trusting, quality friendships may be introverts, enthusiastic, dull, extroverts, young, old, homely, good-looking; but the two characteristics they always have in common are openness and sincerity," said Glenn Van Ekeren. How true! I think it also means that you can be compassionate and understanding, which are great things to have in a relationship. I've been blessed to have many good friends, and I still stay in touch with friends I met in elementary school! What would your friends say about you?
Finally, I think sharing an activity together is important to a relationship. There are no limits here, but the things that come to mind are cycling, skiing, tennis, boating, hiking, theatre, shopping (ok, I'm just saying that to impress you!) walking, movies, etc. One day I would like to learn how to paint or sculpt. A cooking or wine class would be fun also. I have two great recipes that I repeat until someone notices; I could certainly use some help there! What is your favorite activity?
Well, I've had fun writing this and I hope you have had fun reading it. If so, please drop me a line and let's chat! (BTW, if I don't respond, please don't take it personally, it's just that I don't think we would make a good match. All the best ...)

Meet men and women from Highlands Ranch, United States. I am open minded and looking for someone to share adventures and daily life with. I am not looking to rescue anyone or be rescued by anyone, just someone I can share my life with who enjoys being together and wants to share their life with me. I am the father to two young men, 21 and 17 and always make time to spend time with them when they want to do that. I am not overbearing or controlling, just want to be a positive role model for them. They both took to hockey and have made their father proud of their achievements on the rink. They have a mother and I am not shopping for a mother for them, but the woman in my life needs to understand that I take my responsibilities as a father seriously.
At this point in my life I am very open to learning about different activities and experiencing the special connection that is created when two people are together because they choose to be, and want to see their partner enjoying the times they share. I find few things sexier than the smile on the face of my partner and knowing that at least a small part of it I helped put there.
