I grew up in North Carolina, went to college on the beach and loved it! I came to Colorado to be an environmental geologist and, although I miss the ocean dearly, I can see myself here for a good while! I literally go berserk with all the activities out here. Warning; there are few people who can keep up with my tempo. When most people are tired, I am just warming up and looking for something else fun to do!
Going deeper here, I am a bit hardened by a wealth of life experiences in my 25 years which seems to make me more compatible with people who know what a hard time is like. Some of the most awesome people I've met have hit rock bottom and pulled themselves back up; they tend to have a patience, compassion, sense of humor, and drive that is unique. I've supported myself since I was 18 and it gives me a different perspective than so many my age who partied and had it easy in their early twenties. I put myself through school, spent time in the Marine Corps, and my last significant relationship lasted 8 years (1.5 years removed for those curious). I need someone who is down for anything and lighthearted. Sometimes I can be hard on myself, a bit too contemplative, so someone who breaks me out of my mold and makes me laugh is much appreciated! :) Luckily I am content with things these days, but there is definitely a piece of the puzzle missing. I would like to share experiences with someone special in addition to the great friends that I have. I am a professional third wheel and I manage to not be squeaky. My parents and my closest friends have set a wonderful example of a happy couple and I want someone special for myself!
I try to make the most out of every day, which means some form of exercise and a lot of good healthy food at a minimum. My mornings always start with a huge omelette packed with veggies like spinach, kale, zucchini, and meat. I switch exercise up among running, swimming, weights, and crossfit style circuits. Afterward, I try to do something chill like read, cook, listen to music, paint, or have a stogie with a friend. If I can accomplish all this in a day, I feel good about things. When the weekend hits, I intend to get out to the mountains or find a cool place in town to visit with friends. As you see there is not a lot of down time and I like it that way. Whenever I leave this lovely world, I will be able to say that I truly experienced everything that I had the opportunity to enjoy! :)

I have a B.S. in Engineering Physics and an M.S. in Engineering Systems. Nothing says nerd line an engineer. I would like to think I have some social skills... I like to snowboard, golf, play intramurals (football, softball, volleyball), camp, go out drinkin', watch movies and go to concerts.
