Date men and women from Colorado, United States. This is always the hard part, but I will give it a try. I know that I am at a space in my life where I am really wanting to meet someone special. I believe in being someone's partner and best friend, and I hope that is what they believe in too. I don't have any particular requirements, as I believe that connecting with someone is most important. I would hope for that to be natural and unforced, maybe feel a little effortless. I also really feel that communication, compromise, and having an open heart in spite of past scars is key. Oh, and how two people handle difficult situations can be telling. It really doesn't matter how much you have in common if you can't navigate the rough spots together.
A little about me...I like to do alot of things outside, so even though I don't have a list of things that need to be met, there are some things that people should probably have in common, otherwise they would never spend any time together. So, I like to go hiking, running, take my pup to the dog park or river, garden, etc. etc. I would hope you like some of those things too. Oh, and by the way, this is kind of random, but I prefer cool weather to warm. I like nights where I can wear a hoody and jeans. I am also a bit of an idealist, but as I age I have learned to temper that with practicality and sensibility. I wear my heart on my sleeve, which means I can also be sensitive for a man, but it makes me very thoughtful and considerate of others needs as well. I am a nurturer. I am direct and honest, yet sometimes reserved and quiet.
At the moment, I am a student in a demanding veterinary medical program. I do have a bright future but I am currently living the meager student life. Yes, my time is limited, but for those who are an important part of my life, I always make time where there didn't seem to be any. I will never put my partner on the backburner, because I know what it feels like all too well. Some things I would like to do in the future are learn how to run sled dogs, grow and hunt most of my own food, be a valuable part of my community by giving my time, continue to create artwork, make a canoe, do some travelling, maybe have a family. Its not that I am undecided, I just have to be in the right place, and it has to be with the right person.
About you...funny, intelligent, down to earth, speaks her mind, has purpose, cares about others, nurturing, affectionate, giving, warm and hopefully not aloof. I really don't like that. Sorry. I would really like to meet someone who has dreams and isn't afraid to say so. I would like to meet someone who is open to exploring a deeper connection with an open mind. Meet someone special from Colorado, United States. I think people who don’t know me might think I'm overly serious, but what they don’t realize is that I’m probably laughing on the inside. I have a very dry and sometimes mischievous sense of humor. I think it’s better to go through life smiling and laughing if at all possible. I keep a positive attitude and I believe that’s helped me to accomplish many goals so far.
I work in supply and logistics in the military and as a result have had the opportunity to do quite a bit of traveling within the U.S. I especially like the western part of the country and have had a great time visiting old mining towns. I haven’t been outside of the country except to see the Bahamas—which was outstanding. My goal is to travel the former Eastern Bloc countries and Cuba.
If there is someone in the car with me, I can get a bit distracted and lose my sense of direction. But that has led to some interesting discoveries in the past. What else can I tell you about my personality…I collect antique cameras. I'm a bit of a foodie and love to try new restaurants, like “Fruition” in Denver--incredible! I love to sit by a campfire and talk late into the night. I’m not afraid of manual labor…I think it’s extremely satisfying to finish a project and be able to say, "I did that.”
When I’m in a relationship, I think I’m a good partner because I'm a provider, loyal, faithful and caring. About a year ago I bought a newer VT1100 motorcycle and I love it, probably one of the best purchases that I have ever made. It?s so relaxing and at the same time, a bit of a thrill.
I really like watching Sports. I like going to sporting events wether its football, baseball, or even the Rapids. A great day for me is watching Mizzou (if you know what team that is, huge bonus points) game and doing some BBQ?ing on a fall day.
