Date men and women from Colorado, United States. First and foremost, I'm a full-time father of two amazing girls (4 and 8) that live with me half the time. Every day I find something new and wonderful about them.
I exercise 3-5 times a week. I don't have much of a routine as I just like to mix it up right now: gym, home routine, walks, bike, play with my kids. That's in addition to half an hour of yoga in the morning at least 5 days a week. I've only been at the yoga for a few months and it's a fantastic start to my day. I haven't arrived at my healthy destination yet. It's about the journey.
I eat healthily and would like to meet someone who does the same. We don't have to have the same styles of healthy eating, but it'd be nice if we agreed that water and veggies are important. I do have a cheat day each week. Anything goes, but I'm mindful of what will make me feel bad later.
I laugh easily and smile often. My sense of humor is pretty typical in my opinion. Sometimes I'm on it and sometimes I'm not. There are some witty moments, some rough humor at times, some sarcasm, and sometimes jokes go flat.
For the ladies out there tired of sports obsessed men you are in luck; I'm not into football, baseball, basketball, or soccer. I'll have fun at a football game or watching occasionally (with people who don't mind my ignorance). I do like rugby and F1 racing which aren't prominent in the USA so I have a lot of free time not watching sports.
Some of my prouder accomplishments that come to mind: my children, completing a RAGBRAI bike ride (going to do again), some of my travel, my positive attitude.
My work in IT has flexible aspects most of the year like writing this by a stream during a work session.
I'm looking for someone smart, cuddly, broad interests, switches comfortably between relaxed and active, finds joy in many situations, positive attitudes, mostly healthy lifestyle (not a fitness junkie). I do enjoy some PDA. Smart alecky and sassy works for me and I'm comfortable if I don't have a witty rejoinder. I don't have a type as my friends have pointed out over the years. We work together or we don't.

I'm a doctor and I recently moved to north Denver to start a new medical practice in Spine and Sports Medicine. I'm excited to be working with Division 1 collegiate athletes at a Colorado university, after having recently finished a fellowship in Chicago (where I was fortunate to work with the Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks professional athletes, which was a fantastic experience.) I hope to get on with a pro team here in Denver in the future. My job keeps me busy, but I'm also very active outside of work and have a wide variety of interests. I love challenges and I'm constantly trying new things. I'm really social and I enjoy meeting new people and hanging out with friends. I'm also very athletic (triathlons, basketball, etc.), love outdoor activities (skiing, mountain biking, camping, rafting, etc.) and I'm a bit of a thrill-seeker (rock climbing, scuba diving, skydiving, etc). But I also love to spend elegant evenings at gourmet restaurants followed by the theatre, symphony or ballet. I love to go club dancing or just hang with friends at a local bar. I'm pretty musical and play the guitar and sing semi-professionally (I hope to set up a gig at a local bar just for fun).
When I get some vacation time, I love to travel to Europe, the Caribbean or throughout the U.S. I also want to visit Africa, Asia, South America and Australia. I just got back from a trip to Guadalupe Island (Mexico) where I went scuba diving with Great White Sharks... that got the adrenaline pumping!
I live life to the fullest and try to have fun in every thing I do!!! I am looking for a woman that would be my soul mate and best friend. Date men and women from Colorado, United States. I try to spend my time finding new interests as I believe if you are only here once you should try to get as much in as you can. I do however have those things in my life that are truly important to me that I focus on and continue to learn about. I guess what I am saying is that I do have balance between the need for new things and the desire to keep the things I have discovered.
I enjoy music and have been playing guitar and bass for some time now. I have never really been a writer, at least until recently so I mainly just play covers. I was in a band while I was in college but now it is just for fun, not looking to be a rock star. Now I am branching out and I am looking at taking up the cello. Outside of music I enjoy Parkour and that got me into doing gymnastics. It is kind of crazy doing these things at an older age but it is a great deal of fun and feels good knowing that you can still does those types of things.
Traveling is most likely my biggest fix. I spend as much time as I can site seeing and visiting new places. The last few years I have been fortunate and have been able to do many trips. Generally they have all been in the US but I have managed to have visited 49 of the 50 states (Missing Alaska). I really enjoy all the different places I have been and already have a great plan for 2011.
I meet the true definition of explorer and adventurer. It is a good thing and now I am looking for someone to join me. If this sounds interesting to you well…

Meet single man from Colorado, United States. Okie dokie... who am I and who am I looking for? I suppose these are important questions, but they're awfully vague, and especially given that this is going to be read and judged by a bunch of complete strangers.. well, that's a bit rough.
I'll start with who I am, I guess. I'm an ordinary guy. Maybe I'm one in a million, but given the population these days, that just means there are several thousand other guys just like me. Sometimes being able to do the math isn't really an advantage, at least as it effects one's self image.
Anyway. I went to college to learn to be a mechanical engineer, then after a long time of trying to make that work decided to drop the "-al engineer" part of it, and now I spend my days with my partner fixing cars and doing custom work on them... It's much more fun to be actually in the machine than looking at a drawing of it on a piece of paper. And somehow even the smells of a machine/smoke/exhaust/oil are pleasant in a strange way.
So, who is it I'm looking for? I don't know- mostly just someone who I can get along with, who has good ideas for things to do that I will need to leave the house to get to, and who has a bit of a vicious and twisted sense of humor.

-That drive however, has been problematic with the relationship side of my life (I'm still single,) well that and awful timing

So, there it is. As for what I would like in a woman...I would hope that she has a good heart, passionate, comfortable in a dress for Puccini or jeans for the Rox. I would like that she is smart and motivated, is not dependent on me, her own woman with a bit of that 'Southern Charm' and an appreciation for a modern chivalry. Someone who can share our interests. Lack of drama would be a plus. But in the end, when it is all said and done I would like to be able to sit on a swing with her years from now, and holding her hand be able to say through it all we were friends, and that has made all the difference. Granted, physical and emotional attraction are important, especially at this point, but for me, this is what it comes down too.

Meet single man from Erie, United States. I try to focus on the simple aspects of life. I appreciate the finer things, but honestly don't believe that truly happy can come without simplicity. I am a very happy and optimistic person that loves to find those same traits in others. I think that there is an elegant balance to be struck between "opposites attract .. and similar interests" in a relationship. I embrace the fact that a relationship is a commitment that takes work and i highly value the bond that is built between two people committed to a common cause and acting in one anothers best interest. I have not dated a great deal for the past several yrs simply because i got to that point of no longer pressuring myself to date/marry, like so many of my friends had, and took ownership of the fact that I had some work to do in several capacities and wanted to take the time to nail all that down. I am very thankful and deeply appreciate where I am in my life and feel that the time and dedication I have given to my "evolutionary efforts" has allowed me to see myself and situations around me much more effectively for what they really are, versus some of the labels or generalizations I might have been more influenced by in the past.
Now that Im through all the "heavy" talk .. on to "how I roll" on a daily basis. I am very lighthearted and insist upon having fun and enjoying some level of humor in basically everything I do. My life experiences have taught me that cliches suck, but I still use them so .. "not to sweat the small stuff, BTW its all small stuff". Things are rarely what they seem and shared perspectives and some great conversation (up to and including personal harassment .. of course) can bring about the lasting respect between to "engaged" minds. I lean toward the "live each day to the fullest" side, but believe that "the fullest" can still include sleeping in .. leisurely going about getting the day started and generally just taking it easy. With schedule I keep, both work and recreationally, the occasional day of "slow down, refuel and rebuild" becomes more mandatory than just suggested. While all of the amazing recreation CO has to offer would obviously be great to enjoy as "a couple" .. the lazy days as I have just described could be some of the most cherished :)
I just moved to CO from Lincoln, NE early last fall ('11). I was born in Denver and am ecstatic to be back. The energy I feel from people who absolutely love living where they live is very inspiring to me. I have a great job, and have to put a lot of time toward that, but refuse to let a career take me away from the people and things that I love. Definitely the "work to live .. not live to work" type. Never married and no kids of my own, but love kids and am entirely open to seeing someone that already has kids. As far as pets go .. don't think I have met one i didn't like .. very open there.
So, there's the quick version of "about me". The "what I am looking for" is a bit tougher to put to words. I am very open minded to what will ultimately lead to a relationship for me, and am simply confident that that question will be answered more by the "unpredicted .. and out of my control" than something I try to bundle into a picture.
