I have lived in Durango almost my entire life, with the exception of the time I was in the military. I love it here and have no desire to leave ........... unless of course you can take me somewhere better?!?! I consider myself fortunate to live in such a beautiful part of Colorado and have a great job as a designer for a global engineering firm. I am passionate about enjoying where I live and feel so blessed to be able to have raised my children here. The mountains here are so beautiful and offer such a wide variety of things to do. Each year I try to see something new - try a different road, a different trail, a different peak or do something different in the sense of outdoor activities. I get to do it all here - mountain bike, road bike, dirtbike, trail running, hike, climb, camp, canoe, fish, ski, snowshoe .................. it doesn't get better than this!
I'm not into nightclubs, heavy drinking or the bar scene. I don't mean that to sound condemning but I think there are so many better things to do with your time. I do enjoy a cold beer after a long hot bike ride or wine with a nice meal but that's about the extent of my drinking.
What would I hope for in a mate? I believe that honesty, faithfulness and the willingness/ability to communicate is crucial for any relationship to survive the difficult times. I do believe in God and would not want to be in a serious relationship with someone who doesn't. I believe you're missing out on a good thing if you don't. I would HOPE for someone that is happy with herself, easy going, loves life, loves family and loves to laugh. Someone who enjoys the outdoors, staying fit, and eating healthy would be a plus!
