Who are you? The best match for me is an intelligent, even nerdy (love nerdy!) woman who is mature enough to know who she is and what she wants out of life, and who wants someone to share the journey with. You should be willing to be with a guy who will treat you with respect, care, adoration, and support, so if you have unresolved issues and are looking for a project dude who's a jerk but you want to fix him, that's not me at all. I'm already good, just want the woman who is done playing around and is ready to benefit from all the love I have to give. I am here to find someone for a long-term relationship, because I'm ready to settle down and you should be, too. I'm open to possibilities and experiences, but if all you want is a texting buddy, please move on.
You should have an appreciation for the beauty of this world, share some of my interests (I would love it if you were also a writer andor musician!) and love helping people, especially kids. You should not be glued incessantly to a smart phone or some other soul-sucking, community-killing device. I text very rarely and have a pet peeve about people who can't take their eyes off their phones. Let's experience the real world and the real people in it who are right in front of our faces!
You should love yourself and be a good communicator. I also would prefer to be with someone who believes in a higher power. You don't have to be a weekly churchgoer (I'm not either) but my spirituality makes me who I am and it would be hard to share such an important part of my life with someone who doesn't believe in God in some fashion. You should also have a liberal or progressive outlook, and I can't stress that enough. If you believe teachers are greedy union thugs and that we should eliminate all social programs, this ain't gonna work...

I'm an engineer and love what I do. I can truly say that I have found my calling in life. My work is very interesting and keeps me on my toes. I love to learn! I'm a nerd at heart! I read books on quantum theory and astrophysics for fun? I just find it fascinating! Don't worry...I won't make you talk about it with me (although you may have to sit through me explaining how experiments have shown that photons 'think' and are aware of their surroundings. If you don't know what a photon is...I'll fill you in). Don't think that I walk around with a calculator and pocket protector...I have been told over and over that I don't fit the stereotype of engineers. That being said, I also read a lot of books on spirituality and personal growth. I know who I am, my assets AND my defects. I have experienced a lot of loss and a lot of pain over the past few years, although the same experiences have enabled me to grow as a person and spiritually more than I could have ever imagined. I can say that I have love for most people (not all, some are just douchebags).
I do not want a superficial woman! You must be able to hold a conversation about who you really are and what drives you in life. I want a woman who is going to challenge me and make me grow, not just agree with everything I have to say. You must have an opinion of your own! Don't get me wrong and think that I want every conversation to be deep and introspective. Most of the time I like to BS and poke fun of myself and the world. Life is too short to take seriously! I joke around most of the time and insist on enjoying life!!
I love being outdoors. I spend my weekends biking, golfing, hiking, snowboarding, and more. If its outside, I'm game to give it a shot!! I would love to do a triathlon sometime! I am past the partying phase of my life and really don't do the bar scene any more. That being said, I love to hit the club if the right DJ is in town. I've spun records for nearly a decade now, but haven't 'played out' for a few years. It's mostly a bedroom hobby at this point, however I'm not completely one dimensional in music. I'm a big fan of Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, blugrass, and a bit of hip hop (not rap). I like a lot of music, but not all. Go ahead and play it for me, I have a terrible poker face, you'll know if I like it!
It seems like a cruel joke of fate that I?m reduced to expressing myself through my writing abilities. I'm an engineer, not a writer. I don't get paid to be eloquent. When I went into college I scored a 36 on math, 35 on science, and a big fat 12 in writing on the ACT! There's a reason I do what I do. Also, I do understand that almost every sentence I wrote starts with "I" and this is not good writing technique. I refer you to my previous few statements ;-)

When I'm not I love playing golf with my dad and brother, but I mostly ride for entertainment. I'm looking for a similar personality. For me life is all about the " Big Love". The amazing feelings you get from being good to people and a good person can be a real high. I am pretty much willing to try anything once as long as is not weird or gets me arrested. I love trying new places to eat and just submersing myself in the culture. I spent my early 20's traveling the world and ended up living in the cut of southern Mexico for almost a year. I than went to get a degree in a field I have no interest in doing.
My brother and I run several companies and I am deeply involved in a non profit for people with disabilities. It is important to me to do something with life than just make money. I am always trying to further my self personally and career wise. I definitely have learned how to balance my personal life and my business, it took awhile but I got the swing of it. I definitely know when it is time to get to business, but I try not to have work be my only focus.When it comes down to it I just love the process of life. I feel so many people get stuck on the details and things out of their control. I say just give yourself up to the process. I think all the traveling taught me what a tough life actually consists of, the happiest people I met had all the troubles in the world.
Even though it does not sound like it , I can usually be the life of the party. I have one confession to make, I actually like really dig "chick flicks" , I mean don't get it twisted I love independent films, but "In Her Shoes" might have got a tear.

My friends say that I am a joy to be around, and I firmly believe that life is meant to be enjoyed. My life motto is: smile and people will always wonder what you're up to. And its such a true statement! Mentally, I think my best attribute is my dedication, to family, friends, and work. There has always got to be the physical attraction to any relationship that sort of goes without saying.
