I do have a lot to offer, I enjoy the outdoors;camping, hunting,fishing,boating,hiking,loafing,floating down the river in a duckie,laying in the sun,outdoor concerts in the summertime,sitting on the beach in Mexico or ? drinking an ice cold beer,while I examine the sea shells I picked up that morning and listen to Jimmy Buffet...and wondering what we should do for lunch.....I like waking up in the mountains and smelling the fresh morning air, listening to the woods come to life, I love being at Lake Powell and diving into the water first thing in the morning when the water is so smooth it looks like a mirror and just cool enough to make you catch your breath. The balance is, I also enjoy sitting on the couch snuggling in front of a good movie or conversation. Laying with you in the hammock in the back yard. I am an avid reader and I can get lost in a good book, I am open minded and easy going but I will not eat fruitcake or liver...ever! I live a successful laid back life. Planning is OK, but sometimes the fun comes from spontanaety and the excitement to see where we end up. Life is too short to take too seriously, "So often times it happens, that we live our lives in chains and we never even know we have the key." The woman I am looking for is beautiful(to me,anyway.), intelligent, fearless, brave and tough enough to be my friend; kind, gentle and caring enough to be my lover. She has to be able and willing to kick me in the butt now and then. She must have a good sense of humor and never afraid to talk to me about whatever is on her mind. Meet a soulmate from Colorado, United States. I'm a MN native who transplanted to CO in 04, accepting a job that is so interesting I couldn't refuse... I absolutely love the weather here but miss the "real" lakes in Ottertail County (check a satellite map and you will see blue, blue, blue!). By nature I'm playful and I like to keep things on the light side. That being said, helping others, and opening doors (literally) makes me happiest. I would want you to have the first and last bite of the treat we share, making you feel wonderful about yourself is how I am wired. If you wouldn't mind having car doors opened for you and getting a kiss before we get on our way, then we would be off to a great start.
I'm not an I or me person, preferring we and us. Very energetic, active, work hard and love to have fun. Prefer spontaneity to elaborate planning and love to surprise and be surprised. Lifelong learning, kindness, optimism, loyalty, honesty, being able to laugh at the situation and most important, being a good listener, are my cores. Friends and family are what life is about, sharing time on the water on a beautiful summer day (my boat model is my sign-on name). Watching kids and adults alike learn how to ski, seeing them laugh so hard they fall off their tubes as they encounter some waves I've concocted for them... Helping others to forget the stresses of the day is what I love to do. Enjoyment of music is a bonus, outdoor concerts under the stars are hard to beat. Extra credit if you've played an instrument (I play drums, trumpet and try to remember my 4th grade piano lessons). If you haven't played a instrument, tolerance of my attempts to stay musically sharp or earplugs when the drum kit is my source of exercise might be needed!
A great place to start would to become friends... to encounter someone amazing who loves to hike, bike, is playful outside and inside and enjoys life to the max. Someone who is romantic and likes to be romanced. Someone who is looking for that long term relationship with her best friend. A footnote is in order... I'm in the last phase of an amicable divorce; the marriage really ended long ago but to minimize disruption to the kids, the separation route was chosen. They are now beginning their adult lives and I also am looking forward to new adventures. I believe things happen for a reason and have no regrets. I think we all are entitled to be able to learn from the past, we are wiser (hopefully;-) and deserve another chance to feel the magic, our best days are ahead!
