Date men and women from United States / Colorado, 40 year old - page 5

Date single man from Colorado, United States. I'm a single dad, I have a small ranch in Pueblo County. I've been married. I would love to find someone who likes to have fun and travel. I enjoy the outdoors, hiking, horse rides, fishing. I'm not picky and I'm easy to get along with. I have a real nice personality, with a sense of humor.

Meet people from Colorado, United States. Ok so who am I? I am a complete contradiction...
I am a hopeless romantic which is why I'm here I suppose. I sing or whistle when I'm happy. I was raised in the South with southern manners and a strong belief in chivalry. It seems that I have Ferrari tastes and a Ford budget. I'm working on that. I'm self employed, and a complete computer/video nerd. I enjoy getting dressed nice and having a great Italian dinner and a nice glass of wine.
Now the other side. When I play, I like to get rough. Motorcycle, ATV, any competitive sport, hiking in the mountains, caving. I drive a Jeep. I hate running but appreciate the benefits. I've been doing P90X and I've dropped 30lbs to 175 lbs now. I practice Wing Chun Kung Fu, and have a new found appreciation for Yoga. My favorite drink, Jameson's Irish Whiskey on the rocks. I can hang out at the bar and eat my weight in Hot Wings. Sports fanatic. Football and MMA consume my mind when its time. Lifelong baseball fan and player. Raquetball or Squash is my favorite gym sport. Basketball is OK as long as I'm moving to my right. Same goes for skiing. lol. I am proficient at all forms of Billiards. I don't have a tattoo....yet. My job allows me to get away at odd times and be spontaneous. I love expensive smooth cigars...did I mention that Ford budget? When I'm tired, I'll totally waste an afternoon watching American Pickers or Auction Hunters.
Who am I looking for:
I love spontaneous people. Even though I'm not naturally bubbly, I love to have fun and surround myself with fun people. Drag me into your crazy fun world, I really enjoy the time I spend there. Fitness is important to me but I'm not hung up on it...Most important thing to me about you: BE YOU! Don't change a thing for me. I love an independent spirit. Let see if you can be you and I can be me and we're still compatible.
My favorite quotes:
Everyone is a genius, but if you judge a fish on it's ability to climb a tree it will spend it's whole life believing it is stupid....Albert Einstein
Proficiency in billiards is a sure sign of a misspent youth....Mark Twain

Date men and women from Colorado, United States. Hi, I am an honest, dependable guy looking for someone special to share my time with. I've tried the bar scene and it's just not a healthy environment for anyone. I have two beautiful daughters whom I have every weekend, and then work through the week-so that doesn't leave me much time for social outlets. So here I am online... I like to fish, I would say camp(but when you have a cabin on a lake, it's just too easy), work on my house, go to the movies on opening week, play pool, go for a nice hike, and watch HBO series.
I am not sure who I am looking for, but I will know when I meet her...

Meet someone special from Colorado, United States. how can you really describe yourself online? i can try my best but the best way to know me is to meet me. but ... i exercise 3-4 times a week. i'm 5'8" ... 155-160 pounds depending. i love playing music but work really gets in the way of me practicing my musical instrument as much as i like to. this is where you ask me "what do you play?". hint, it has six strings and you plug it in and turn the volume knob up to 10. i'm very easy to get along with. i guess you can also say I'm the type of person that will jump in a fight if it's two against one just to make it fair. i don't like seeing others prey on the weak and old. i've been told i have good skin and i look way too boyish. is that a good thing? because i still get carded like crazy.
i am looking for someone who has their life together because i feel i have mine all together ... meaning minimal drama, a profession or at least a job they like and will continue to pursue and can cook since I cannot. a woman who can be shy yet still be forward when she wants something is the typical person i usually attract, i dunno why. it would be really great if you could play piano. i would love to learn how to play piano.
i've been unfortunate to meet a crack addict, a dominatrix missing her two front teeth because her boyfriend beat her up, a person who used faked pictures, someone with "few extra pounds" who abuses that phrase and an anti-social on the rebound still talking about her ex courtesy of match.com. i hope to find someone normal for a change. have pity on me match.com.
there is so much more to say but to really know a person is to meet them in person. unfortunately one drawback of online dating sites is that people judge others just by their written online profile and a lot of people i do believe are missing out, so give that guy or gal a chance. while i do appreciate "winks", i won't wink back. a direct email would work so much better for me.

Date a soulmate from Colorado, United States. I have worked in the television industry for the past 18 years. A few of the things I enjoy are comic books, sports, and Star Wars. Might as well get that out in the open right away. I'm just looking for someone who enjoys going to see a movie, eating out at a nice restaurant, or going to a concert.

Meet a man from Colorado, United States. I'm an easy going guy. Very loyal and trustworthy. I wasalways will be a United States Marine. It was a very important time in my life. I'm a quiet guy, always taking life as it comes. I'm looking for someone who I can hang out with and likes to do things together, but yet not smother eachother....lol. If that makes sence. I love my job and work like 10-12 hour days. I want to spend my free time with someone special........Looking for soneone also likes to stay fit and active. I enjoy going to w.o.w. and playing basketball. I would love to have someone to go to the gym with!!!

Date single man from United States. Hello. I'm a nice guy looking for a nice girl to spend quality time building loving memories. Pretty aid back, good cook, like horror movies and love my dogs. I like long hair, someone who knows when to be sexy and when to be conservative, an open mind and an interest in current events. Must have a good heart and must be honest. Does this sound like you?

Meet people from United States. Although I have a strong work ethic, I make time for fun. I think that humor and laughter are the cure that heals all. I have no problem laughing at myself, but strive to be the best person I can. I am most happy with people who take care of themselves, both physically and emotionally.
In my spare time I enjoy golfing, hiking, being outdoors, watching a good sporting event, live music, or new block buster movie.
"What are some qualities that you are looking for in another person?" Someone that has a good sense of humor, enjoys going out but also likes staying in sometimes. Someone that is ambitious, active and open-minded and willing to try and explore new and different things.

Date men and women from United States. Just moved to the Denver market from the Midwest where I've been working for the past year. I'm from/have family in NW IL / NE IA, and visit seasonally.
What can I tell you? I just want a good woman; good for me that is! :o)
My thoughts on a partner involve an intelligent, articulate, spiritual, attractive, physically fit/health conscious, faithful, affectionate woman with her own life and money, and (specifically) not only a truthful interest in developing a traditional relationship and commitment with a man, but also has the FREE TIME to actually spend with another person. I'm not interested in being one in a series of optional arm candies for an uber busy professional female, but in spending considerable quality time (in the 5 Love Languages Dr. Gary Chapman sense) with someone special who will at least grant me that;
Drama is performance art, not a lifestyle to be cultivated personally
Intent and action are prior to content in all of life. Luck, feelings, chance, and fate are not going to "give" you results.
God is, and is not a Republican or a Democrat. Love is my Religion. Criticism is counterproductive.
Make up is supposed to be an occasional accent to your best features, not a daily mask for your whole face and neck
A Gentleman prefers a LADY; hair color is not even on the list of deciding factors.
If at our age and in this world you cannot TALK about sex and family planning first, YOU shouldn't be doing EITHER
I'm easy to grasp;
I spent a long time working in high public contact for and among the now notorious "1%", and am not personally interested in see and be seen socializing or the accumulation of material things. I'm not a bum or anything; I work full time, and come from a large, secure family background on both sides. I simply have a different set of priorities after 20 years or corporate ladder climbing and "stuff". Life will humble you and change your perspective when you need it. I narrowly avoided surgery, and walked off a serious low back injury last year with the help of a wonderful Chiropractor and Physical Therapist, and after being a better uncle my "stuff to get" list currently included only the aforementioned woman, old pickup truck and a vintage motorcycle under $2k :o) Jesus or Buddha would find a warm meal, a foot washing and a Carpentry Job offer under my roof, but no television or radio advertizing consumption (i flip the channel on either when the ads come on, and would rather not sit in front of the TV in the first place, but I love documentaries, nature programming, educational programming...) I love to cook and enjoy wine and craft beer in moderation, but if you like to get drunk weekly or "hang out" at a bar, we wouldn't be a good fit. 4:20 tea time is fine by me though, and ought not to confront your thought process if we're to be friendly. Music is a constant in my day. It would take you 2 dates a week for a year to even graze the surface of my favorite movies. Strongly spiritual, but not religious.
Other than that, I'm free nights and weekends mostly. How about you? I'm easy to talk to, and a good listener so ask away. NOT looking to wait around through a month or more of pen-pal ish online discourse, or to date around. If you're interested, let's get together for coffee at least and talk. If you're not interested, just say so! No harm no foul; it's not a contest. I'd like to meet someone who enjoys cooking together and entertaining at home and who can teach me about Colorado while helping me brush up on my hiking and the like. Couple concerts a month, comedy club, farmers market, wine tasting.
Look forward to hearing from you if we'd click, even as friends.
Be blessed, and at peace.
M

Meet someone special from United States. I have lived most of my personal adult life independently of others while focusing on work and other goals. But now I am looking for someone with whom I may share, learn from, and grow with. Experiencing the world is important to me and I’ll try most any new activity that you suggest. All I ask is that you help lead by example.
I’m an associate professor and study evolutionary relationships among plants. I love my job as I have the freedom to pursue my ideas while working on whatever I want, with whomever I want, and whenever I want (50 hour work weeks). The same creativity and drive that I apply to my science also extends to my teaching, art projects, making mobiles, and writing.
In my free time I enjoy exploring the greater Fort Collins area by foot and by bike, making mobiles that incorporate various artifacts and plant parts, taking long challenging bicycle rides (most every weekend), swimming (twice a week), reading non-fiction books to learn from people with different experiences than my own, watching movies, attending events in Old Town, making travel plans, and playing with my cat. I also enjoy rock and ice climbing, sea kayaking, motorcycle rides among the foothills and mountains, motocross and road racing (at the track), archery, and long distance endurance events (bicycling, swimming, and triathlon).
One of my father’s favorite quotes is: “Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” I largely subscribe to that philosophy and am not afraid to come across as a “licensed lunatic” sensu Bertrand Russell. Here’s a selection of my oddities:
- I try not to take myself too seriously or focus on my public appearance.
- I collect folk art (e.g., alebrijes, Samburu and Maasai beadwork), graffiti art (Banksy, Shepard Fairey), and Americana kitsch (e.g., Elvis decanters, fezes with rhinestones). I also gather quotes from memoirs and travelogues.
- I’m a vegetarian and have recently started to cut my diary intake (for my health, not politics).
- When I attend religious services it’s for the novelty rather than any belief in the supernatural.
- As a scientist, I appreciate receiving constructive criticism and I also share my suggestions with others. It’s important to me to grow in a relationship rather than focus entirely on happiness.
- I may have a fancy degree and job title, but I ain’t no intellectual.
- I'm shy and can be quiet.
- I have tremendous respect for people who adopt children, but I don’t plan on having any of my own.
- I prefer to go to a museum or attend an event instead of shopping.
- I only give compliments when they’re sincere rather than when they’re requested.
- I’d rather do something novel or adventurous rather than hang out with large groups of people.
- I prefer to be with someone quietly rather than maintain constant chatter for the sake of avoiding silence.
- I prefer to talk in person rather than frequently chatting on the phone.
- I prefer visiting places with character rather than dressing up to go someplace swanky.
- I prefer improvised travel in the third-world rather than resort vacations.
- I prefer to have a long heartfelt conversation rather than shout to be heard at a bar.
Given my posting of that list, I expect it’s clear that I’m not trying to maximize my number of dates. Rather, I’m looking for that special someone who complements me and hopefully I her. I come with an assortment of quirks and eccentricities. I hope to learn about and appreciate yours while continuing to express mine. ;)

Date a soulmate from United States. Im a very helpful person. What makes me smile is seeing the ones i love happy.Im most passionate about giving the best i can.My social life right now is lacking someone in it,i'm very busy with work and taking care of my property so i have friends but do not get to see them much.Things i would like in a partner is a woman who will show love and affection for her man in public or just hanging out.Im hoping to attract someone who would like to put in the work for the long haul of life together.

Meet a man from United States. If you’re looking for a guy who prefers to take the road less traveled then I might be the one for you. I seek adventure and I love to explore new places. An active person who views exercise as meditation, enriching mind body and spirit; cyclist, mountain climber, hiker, and newbie triathlete all describe me well. My sense of humor runs to dry and sarcastic, and I'm always ready with something clever and funny.
My mind is always going (yes, it both a blessing and a curse), and sometimes I have a unique and creative way of looking at the world. I develop software and websites for a living, and yes, you can call me a geek. I love my job. It allows me to be creative and keeps me challenged, and isn't a bad living either.
The ideal match for me is someone who is feisty, smart and has a sense of adventure. Extra credit for a sharp sense of humor, a quick wit, artsy interests, alternative or unique viewpoints, and definitely for a sense of whimsy. I am fairly open and appreciative of many different characteristics, personalities, and types of women, but, to be honest, you must be at least a little active for me to be interested. You don't have to run marathons, but some level of hiking/biking/running etc. is required Basically, I’m an active, adventure seeking guy and I’d love to find someone that I can share that with - someone who loves to explore life and everything it has to offer.
