A long time friend described me as outdoorsy, adventuresome, ever-seeking, spiritual, tolerant. Bright, warm, sweet and occasionally a wee impish (1/4 Irish!), I'm an outgoing people person. I enjoy and clean up well for both formal and informal occasions, concerts, theater, dinner with friends, but to know me is to understand that I THRIVE just BEing in nature, ideally with the one I love, exploring, walking, hiking, playing...of course laughing at the whole situation.
I enjoy most music, (not rap) classical, Celtic, Brazilian, folk, piano, will admit that 60's classics send me. Dancing in the kitchen is tops, occasionally I hanker for a little fox trot, swing or waltz. Cuisine need not be haute, but more likely Thai, Vietnamese, sushi, or great Italian. I'll sing for my dinner if it's local crab, curry, asparagus or artichokes! Art and museums are fun on rainy days, and Sunday afternoons. Home is good. Travel is good - anywhere. Still haven't been to the Orient or Africa. Do you scuba?
As a professional, I'm honored to be allowed to help others, inspired by the experience. Volunteering enriches my life and connects me to my community.
I'm good at finding beauty. Staying fit at the same time is just plain heaven. Just last weekend my pup and I led an 11 mile hike weekend up to a water fall in the Capay Valley. 36 people showed up! What a hoot!
When I can tear myself out of the garden, I can be found walking, jogging, snowshoeing, cycling, birding, catching an indie (or 3D!) movie or a live theater production, sharing a good meal with good friends. IРІР‚в„ўve been a backpacker for decades, and will continue to strive to be in wilderness when I can, though admit llamas are more and more attractive, or hut to hut. I want more of this again with a regular partner.
