Bought a nightclub in the 70s, then started a computer software company and have been doing software and other nerdy technical stuff during the week and often playing night clubs with local bands on the odd weekend.

Where am I right now in life? I was married (once) for 20 years, I have been divorced for 15 years now. And my last relationship lasted 8 years. I have 2 wonderful grown daughters and a precious 4 year old granddaughter.
I enjoy the more simple aspects of life like being with family and friends, cooking, back yard BBQs, camping, fishing, flower gardening, festivals and fairs, concerts, my stereo, music and movies. I also enjoy fine arts, museums/art galleries and of course traveling - either weekend get-a-ways or something more major.
About the one I'm looking for...
I am looking for someone to share the simple pleasures of life with, (and everything else - ROMANCE!, FUN, chores, etc.) in the context of an LTR. I'll jump at just about any excuse to get to the mountains ( a picnic in the meadow, a hike to that vista or waterfall, camping/fishing, mountain festivals, etc.). I love the Jazz/Blues concert series in City Park on Sunday evenings. Ummm!..... good tunes, fantastic people-watching, a picnic, a bottle of wine... My favorite musical genres are blues/rock and female vocalists. Lately I've been listening to John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Chris Isaak, and Norah Jones. I just love KBCO radio, and I can't wait to get back to Red Rocks!

Date someone special from California, United States. I'm successful in my career and love what I do. It's a blessing. I worked as a roughneck on an oil rig while in college. I liked the physical work and being a member of a crew. I did that for several years, got married and had our first born before graduating. It was a financial struggle early on, but paid off. I've run an International oilfield service company and was President of a Denver-based E&P Co., but drilling rigs were always what I most enjoyed the most fun and that's what I manage now.
I try to be kind and generous (and dry humored) every day. My motto is to "treat people just as well as they'll allow you". In work I can bring out the "scary face", but that's never option one. I've been told that intelligence, drive, and passion can be intimidating so I strive to be warm and funny as well.
I'm working at rounding out life outside of my career and I'm making progress. I look for a warm & affectionate woman with whom to share time and fun activities. There have been only a few women in my life, but I love being with and loving a good woman. It humanizes the "Spock", rational, driven nature of my personality. I bought a table just so I could adjust the height because it can be hard on the back and then I need a massage. Then you need one again ... crazy circle of fun and extreme relaxation.
