I like LACMA, Laemmle, Landmark, PBS, NPR and Netflix. I watch only a little football. I have no need or desire for cable. I like holding hands while walking and cuddling closely on the couch as the DVDs play and more in private. I like country dancing.
I like to hike and sleep in the woods several times a year in the warm summer. I would like you to join me or you can spend time with family and friends. These hikes create awareness of breathing and walking, two of the most basic human activities. Beauty draws me forward with lighter steps up steep trails above tree line and I follow beauty down again.
I think that on average we can cook better tasting food and much healthier food than we buy in restaurants. I grow better tasting citrus, tomatoes, squash and fruit than we can buy and they are free of contamination. Such home-grown food is wealth too.
Now that I have remodeled my kitchen with a man's eye for convenience and efficiency, I am cooking from "Nigella Express: 130 Recipes for Good Food, Fast". She is correct.... EXCELLENT flavors with VERY little preparation time. I will also learn to make several Mexican salsas and food from India. All of these receipts will be supported by output from my garden starting this winter. Relax, it's not a competition. I am only learning/playing. I can help you in the kitchen or get out of the way.
