But, me in a nutshell: I've spent most of my life living in the Bay Area except for when I was away for school. 2. I'd really prefer you live nearby (like, 30-40min from the Bay Area) I've found it very difficult to get to know somebody or develop anything (especially when we don't know each other beforehand) when they live far away
3. I really value quality time, so I can't be with somebody who is excessively busy with other things. I'm looking for somebody that I can spend time with, not someone who is always at work, out of town a lot, or simply too busy with life
4. At the risk of being cliched- somebody who is kind to others, a good conversationalist, interesting, has similar interests, and is interested in physical activities (tennis, gym, etc.)

It's hard to talk about yourself without sounding like a total douche... So, I'll use what my friend Alana said about me: Funny, extremely witty and smart and anyone who hangs out with me is lucky to have me in their life. I am caring, and always doing what I can to help.
The negative attributes she noted and I agree with her on, need to start living in the moment and not analyzing the future, It's good to plan ahead but I can miss the good times in front of me if I'm not careful.
If a machine were built that could produce my "dream girl" she would be: a fantastic person to talk to, laughter is very important to me. I love an opinionated woman, and I love discussing topics that we may have different views on. That said, my dream girl would know the difference between a debate, conversation, and an argument... It's not uncommon to find a girl who does not know the difference.
Loyalty, trust, honesty and empathy are huge to me. I am analytical, and I tend to look at all the possible factors motivating someone's actions before I allow myself to have an emotion. For example, if your boss snapped at you, and it seemed out of the blue and the reasoning behind their outburst was something never important to them previously, then I would think about what is going on in my boss's life. Most of the time, when people snap or lashout out of the blue, it has nothing to do with you. To allow your emotions to get the best of you without looking a little deeper is not productive, and can happen often in a relationship.
In general, I would love to be with a girl that I can hang out with and talk to like a best friend.
When people are in a relationship, I think both can forget to ask themselves: "Am I the type of person that someone would want to one home to?". Just because you have time together, both should still leave the entitlement out of the relationship. I can't stand when girls complain about how their man is not romantic, failing to notice that their attitude is so bad that their man would love nothing more than to have her gone for a month or two. Same for guys, you can't complain about not getting enough sex if you're not doing the things that you went out of your way to do to make her feel special. Getting comfortable breeds entitlement. Time served in a relationship doesn't relieve you of not doing the little things to make each other feel special.

I try to keep life adventurous and things simple, when it comes to unnecessary b.s., less is always more. Hmmm... I enjoy everything except wasting the day away. Be you and do everything that makes you happy; life is too short to worry about anything else.

Whether it be a new bar, new restaurant, or new country, I'm always up for an adventure. In my down time, I like watching movies, playing poker, hanging out with the buds, and I'm starting to get into home improvement projects. I'm an engineer that designs chemical plants by day, and a goof ball/cook by night. Oh yeah...cooking is big on my list. Being part mexican, chinese, and growing up in cajun country...my cooking is the definition of fusion.
And for some reason, I thought it was a good idea to get a puppy a while back. So I've been a doggy duty since. Man, who knew a pup would be so much work? But it's worth it, now I have a house trained dog that's awesome to have around the house.
As for what I look for in a date, first and foremost it is someone who can laugh. You have to be able to smile and laugh. Life is too short not to smile and be happy. If you like sarcasm and inside jokes, I'm pretty sure I can get a snicker out of you. I also like a good conversation... a good date for me is one where you feel comfortable enough to talk openly about anything. Oh...and you kinda have to like dogs. :)

1. Not educated...no matter how attractive you are, if you can't carry a conversation...zap..bad date
2. Snooty...I really don't like snooty people. Just cause someone isn't as fortunate as you, that doesn't make them a worse person.
