Date single man from Walnut Creek, United States. I am retired from my career as a graphics designer and photojournalist for national publications and really enjoyed my work.
I was educated in art and more recently have enjoyed art history classes at UC Berkeley. I have an art museum membership that I would love to share with someone. My clay work and ceramic sculpture are things I am proud of as an accomplished artist. I also have an appreciation of movies, especially film noir.
I love the outdoors and make the time to go on hikes with friends as well as on daily walks for exercise. I like dancing as well, but please don't ask me to tango just yet.
Dave Brubeck, Ellington, Basie and Mulligan are some of my favorite jazz musicians. I have a wonderful small collection of vintage jazz vinyl and have taken jazz history classes at Berkeley City College. An evening at Yoshi's at Jack London Square for a performance can be enjoyable. Have you ever been there? What kind of music lights your fire?
Travel is something I would like to do more of. I have traveled to Bavaria, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Southern Spain, and Northern Italy as well as Mexico and Central America. I am ready to go again. It would be great to share some travel adventures. There are many new places I would love to explore with the right lady.
Relationships are important to me. I value my family (I am a very happy grandfather for the first time!)
as well as a small handful of special buddies that I make an effort in keeping close touch with. In the past two years, my volunteer work as a mentor for young juvenile offenders at a detention facility has been very satisfying.
I am looking for a healthy, committed relationship with someone warm, expressive, and honest with a good sense of humor (it’s good for the soul!) who will hopefully share some of my interests and make my heart beat faster.
I look forward to the opportunity to get to know you and what you are all about.
