I love how that man could distill!
Regarding his "Advice", though, I am hopeful to share "lots of lovin'" with one person. Of course, we would share struggles as well, but we would strive for more than our fair share of love, fun, wonderment and all of the better things that make the struggles worthwhile. So . . .
Are you laid back, but not lazy and uncaring? Great
Are you driven by certain things (work and / or causes and / or etc.), but know how to dial it back for a balanced life? Excellent
Do you respect others regardless of station, but know how to deal with people who don't? Fantastic
Are you artistic, but can appreciate the logic and patterns in life or conversely are you logical, but can appreciate the artistry all around us? Outstanding

If you are all (or most) of the above, then, like me, you are also probably fun to be with, romantic, thoughtful, intelligent (however measured), dependable, loyal, and genuine.
You are probably also independent, but know the value of having a shoulder that you can lean on when need be. You enjoy being together and talking (about anything from world events to the niggly little absurdities of life), traveling, or just sitting in silence together, but you also enjoy some space and time to be alone (or with your friends).
Also like me you may be a little shy at first, but really open up to those you get to know. On the other hand, you may be entirely outgoing, but not in an obnoxious way that makes people around you wondering where the heck the "off switch" is located or suddenly "remembering" they have another engagement they have to get to.
You are probably also close to your family however large or small it may be or at least know and appreciate the value of family. You also value your health and take care of yourself through good eating and exercise habits which means we could workout together to build up an appetite and then cook something healthy together. Or, you could put your feet up and cool down while I do the cooking.
You also know the value of splurging on "Death by Chocolate" or whatever other decadence you occasionally crave. (Mine is actually Boston Cream Pie!)
If this (or most of this) is you, let's start "digging" each other and see if it leads to something transcendent and most importantly, lasting.
(Oh, by the way regarding drinking, the next closest choice to "Never" is "Social drinker". I probably only have a couple of drinks a year. Not because I am against drinking (although I am opposed to excessive drinking) - it's just that a tiny bit of alcohol affects me too much. It does not bother me if my partner drinks while I have something non-alcoholic.)

I savor … the chance to spend hours in a museum, reading stories aloud, rich conversations, holding hands, books which rank as great friends, films, hosting dinner parties -- wine flowing -- spent laughing and talking with friends.
Courtesy of a job which regularly gives me the opportunity and incentive to explore art in Europe, I have a few restaurants in Rome and Paris where the owners greet me like I’m Norm walking into Cheers. It would be cool to have that here too. Even better, I like the idea of cooking together being special: you work together; you get to share the fruits; plus there are leftovers! Hopefully together we would be known for our hospitality. (Not that I'm a great cook, but I enjoy making pasta and soups from scratch.)
My friends say I’m a person of integrity, reliable, thoughtful, humble, and a good listener. Always a gentleman. Chivalrous too. Fortunately they also say I'm funny. Those who hear me speak always remark on my passion. I’m adventuresome, intellectually curious, and playful. I enjoy life and find myself laughing a lot, especially at myself, though on my own I can also be rather reflective. By demeanor, I tend to be other-centered and genuinely caring. I don’t give expecting to get back, but it should never be a one-way street. A mutual desire to see each other flourish is crucial.
What am I looking for? A beautiful smile is priceless, and intelligence is a must, but character counts far more. You’re definitely honest. Friends use words like “kind” and “nurturing” to describe you, but that list could go on and on: “adventuresome,” "playful," etc. "Classy" would be nice too. Ideally you have a range of interests and a curiosity to learn more. Oh, and it would help if you appreciate what it means for a partner to be passionate about both you and his work. I'm sure you'll hope for and expect a lot from me too. You'll inspire me to be a better person -- which is exciting since life is about growth. Hopefully we’ll become better people together, and better as a couple than on our own.
I'm looking for a true companion and friend. Someone who helps make the tasks of daily life a little lighter and who makes having fun even more enjoyable. Though planning ahead is great, hopefully you don’t mind spontaneous trips to the cinema, Napa, or even Paris. Since I love to travel, hopefully the idea of regularly spending a few weeks in Europe sounds appealing. Delusional as it might be, you might even be willing to speculate about slipping away for a year to Rome, Paris, or London. However, I never want to let thoughts about the future or dreams of travel diminish the importance of being fully engaged in the right now. Adventure comes in all sizes, and the little things we do for each other make the biggest difference.
You’re close to your family, or at least wish you were. I’m dedicated to my 89-year-old mother. She appreciates my calls, and when you know that, you know what you need to do. Speaking of families, love bears fruit in many ways. It will be rich just to see where it takes us. If kids are in our future -- ours, yours, whatever -- that would be amazing. If we are so lucky, what’s most crucial is a shared desire to raise them well. "Open to all possibilities" sounds better than any of the options that Match supplies.
