Meet a soulmate from Walnut Creek, United States. I find this part hard to write; how to describe myself without sounding like a collection of cliches?. So I asked my friends. The words they used to describe me included smart, funny, athletic, witty and optimistic. And that last one I identify with most strongly. Optimistic. That is the lens I use most often to view my world. I mean, we all have small stuff in our lives – annoying people, frustrating situations etc. but I never feel the need to dwell on those. Life is too short to waste time on that kind of minutia, you know. I mostly see the good in people and situations around me and most mornings find me excited to greet a new day. In short, I’m a pretty happy guy!
I work out about 5 days a week and love most sports, particularly basketball, soccer, tennis and skiing. In case we run together, I prefer a distance of 3-5 miles but, given the right incentives, I'll run shorter or longer! I enjoy sailing on The Bay whenever time permits and skiing whenever winter delivers good snow! I skied Big Sky Montana this year for the first time and its my new favorite mountain; great snow, friendly people and no lines. Wanna play tennis - just say where! Wanna dance the night away...can you keep up :-)
I’m equally comfortable at the gym, the symphony, a Warriors game, Shakespeare theater and hiking on Mt Diablo. Cuddling at a Sausalito bed and breakfast or snuggling in a 2 person tent after a long hike in Yosemite; both fun if the company is right! In short, I believe life is about living and enjoying each day we’re on the planet, experiencing life’s’ ups and downs, nature’s rhythms and mankind’s creations.

Golfing at Old Brockway is beautiful. I like to take day trips to Napa Valley and the City. Balboa Cafe and the Waterbar in the City. I've travelled to Italy, Paris, Nice, Argentina. I'd like to be in Greece or Spain for my 50th.
I love to cook and enjoy trying out new recipes, although I find that I'm not cooking as much now that the kids are away. Favorite foods are sushi and Mexican. But love a great steak and a loaded baked potato!
