Date a man from California, United States. I found a kick ass place in Venice/Abbot Kinney I'm super stoked to be living here, I've always wanted to. Life is pretty good for me now, I'm just missing someone fabulous to share it with.
I'm a Creative Director for an advertising agency. I think I'm a lot of fun to be around and fairly interesting as well. Because of my job I'm continuously exposed to new things; it keeps me sharp, young minded, in the trends and makes me good at Jeopardy, ha.
I love art house films like Amelie, Stranger Than Fiction, Fight Club, The Darjeeling Limited. I ski, snowboard, skateboard, golf, play tennis, shoot photography and love the latest underground music like KCRW out of Santa Monica.
I'm interested in women who are confident and beautiful (inside and out) who carry themselves with grace, kindness and don't take themselves too seriously? Please be able to laugh at yourself and have fun. Work is hard enough dating shouldn't be. Also I'm not a player or a serial dater. I am honestly looking for someone to be with—her and only her— to be excited to come home to, talk about our days, dreams, erase our disappointments and fill them with anticipation and desire.
I also have to say that I'm mostly interested in women who my age or younger.
Kindness is important to me. As is laughter, the world doesn't have enough of either; treating others respectfully is a big turn on for me. Be mean to a server at dinner and it's on you, ha.
What I have to offer is seeing the world in an absolutely beautiful way every single day of my life. I made a movie/art project about that which is on Vimeo if you care to see it.
I am sometimes rowdy and I don't subscribe much to social conventions I believe in treating all people the same regardless of if you are in a fortune 500 boardroom.
I believe in doing something that scares me as often as possible, sometimes that's as simple as telling the truth. I am honest and always will be. So be careful what you ask me ;-)
I want to live my life to the fullest, with intent and joy and not worry if it's not okay with everyone.
I stay very current in style and music and am definitely not main stream. I do not like top forty or country music. I'm into fashion and design. If you've don't know the bands Radiohead, Zero7, Dangermouse, Gorillaz, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Broken Bells, Yeasayer, The Clash or Interpol are then I'm sure we wouldn't quite get each other. I'm looking for someone with similar taste to mine but not exactly the same. I hope you will introduce me to amazing new things and adventures.
I am addicted to golf, I love the whole Zen aspect of it, clearing your mind and focusing on only one single thing, then accepting the result and moving on to the next shot. Plus the clothes rock...I just got new cyan and hot pink shoes, that's right...
If you are a good golfer and look fantastic in golf skirts then I'm paying....beers too.
Same goes for tennis, I would love a tennis partner.
Or smiling for that matter, I could use a smiling partner as well.
Or if you would like to go to an arthouse film, or go see some live music, let me know. I'm always game.
I'm an art lover, and that means all kinds of art from photography, painting, film, literature and of course the art of a fantastic kiss that makes you weak in the knees.
Oh, one last thing, I'm finished having kids, mine are mostly adults, "mostly" being the operative word here, ha; they are not around very often anymore as teenagers rarely are, I love mine and I'm sure I would love yours, I just don't want more of my own.
Meet men and women from Venice, United States. I'm affectionate, love to have fun, all around good guy. You're also affectionate, love to have fun, all around good girl. If we never meet, may your beauty be recognized and may you have the wisdom to receive it.
Meet a soulmate from Venice, United States. I love my life - i get to do what i love for a living (writing music for movies) and i get to travel a lot and meet all sorts of fascinating people. But what i don't have in my life is love. And even tho the concept of online dating weirds me out, i'm here because it's difficult to date in los angeles and i'm ready for a solid relationship and being 45 i don't want to waste time anymore in relationships that don't go anywhere. I don't necessarily want kids but i do want to be with the next love of my life for the rest of it.
About me - was born in south africa - have lived in los angeles for 18 years. i love my work - always will. It is how I define myself and I am a workaholic. But i also love to have fun and adventure and i do a pretty good job of balancing those things out. I have a house in mexico, family in south africa and australia and travel frequently to europe to work and hang with friends. I go mad if i don't get out of town often. I love food and wine. I hate TV commercials. I cry often watching movies and i love documentaries. I believe every life is equally important and i hate it when people consider themselves better than their gardener or cleaning lady. We're all the same life in the end. Religion fascinates me. I don't believe in any of it but i love to discuss it with people who do. I love politics and am so left of center it would make the average american explode! I hate guns and hunting - spent 2 years in the military so i know what a gun is intended for. And it's not cool!
About you - because i love my career so much it's pretty important that you love yours - whatever that may be. I really don't care. But i want to be with someone who has her own thing so that when we spend time together we both are in the same space. If you haven't figured out who you are and what you're doing in life yet, i wish you the best of luck but i'm not your guy. I also have a low tolerance for glass is half full kind of people. If you walk around smiling at the amazement of life - beam me up! I also need to be with someone who is open with a capital O! You need to be able to accept everything in life - good and bad and be open to all of it. Especially when it comes to this amazing adventure called life.
Date single man from Venice, United States. Me: I am a non-native Californian, a transplant from the Midwest, who originally just came out to get experience in LA work-wise and ended up staying. There are not many better places in the US, I hope you agree. I like it here very much, especially my little pad next to the beach. I enjoy the clear skies, open space and liveliness.
I am a landscape architect by profession and education. I have worked mostly in Los Angeles, but also outside Chicago. I work from my apartment for the moment on a project by project basis for a few firms around town. It’s the type of profession that can easily be set up in a home office for no more that a good graphics computer and chair. The profession entails a significant amount of time drawing by hand and mostly by computer both preliminary designs and construction drawings. You probably have passed through or by a number of the projects in which I participated anywhere from Santa Monica to Las Vegas.
Free time is spent trying to stay fit, reading, studying a little Japanese, watching good TV and surfing the net for anything. I ran my second LA Marathon in March. I was an hour faster than last year, yea. I still like exploring LA after all these years; it is full of great neighborhoods. Sometimes I drive the whole length of Sunset Boulevard to see how the city changes over its length. Once at the end, I usually stop at Kinokuniya. I enjoy the concerts at places like California Plaza or Disney Concert Hall. I do ceramics on Saturday afternoons. It’s a great place to meet new people. I invest and found IBD the most reliable business and stock advice, but dislike their very conservative politics. I enjoy old movies with Audrey Hepburn or Bogart. I like small parties and board games with friends. I don’t like bars anymore, but something like ballroom dance would be a good substitute. Gardening would be included, but I don’t have my own yard yet. I don’t like to have every hour or weekend planned. Lazy is good too.
I went to Hawaii, New Zealand and Australia long ago. I have been to Japan 5 times and can’t wait to go again. I hope to be able to stay to learn the language next time or study ceramics in Seto. I would be very interested in anybody who would like to return to Japan often. My last visit was 2005 when Roppongi Hills was brand new. I visited Washington D.C. for the first time last year. Next on the list is China and Norway.
I am interested in a calm, cute woman. It would be great if she had creative interests, enjoyed the outdoors, liked animals - that sort of course. Conservative with money is a good attribute too. Any profession from teacher to doctor to accountant will be admired as long as you like it.
Nerdy points: I like railroad history just because a lot of boys do and because my grandfather used to build locomotives. I like everything Japanese. It has manifested itself with a small collection of samurai posters from the 1930s to 1960s. Also, I want 2 Whippets and a Russian Blue cat with bright green eyes to live in my future house.
----Recently moved inland a couple miles. Now near Mitsuwa. Also commute to work in Glendale for a long term contract and will consider moving there to reduce time in a car.
Meet someone special from Venice, United States. While I like to think of myself as a work in progress, at this point in my life I am well aware of the direction in which I'm progressing and very happily doing so. I’ve built a great life for myself, but I'm missing that special someone to share it with. Perhaps she's you.
What I can tell you is what makes me happy. Family and friends. Ethnic food and coffee shops. Impromptu road trips to unknown destinations. Travel, travel and more travel - I’ve visited over 30 countries on 6 continents and seem to continuously be planning my next trip. New experiences. The truffle burger at Umami. Learning. Misadventures in the kitchen. Quiet nights at home with a fire, a movie and a big bowl of popcorn. Photography. Truffle salt (great on that big bowl of popcorn). The mountains and the ocean. I moved to California because of its abundance of both and I spend much of my free time surfing, skiing, biking and looking for new ways to enjoy nature. Learning. Yea, I already wrote that but it's a big one.
I'm looking for a strong woman who is comfortable with who she is, both the strengths and weaknesses. She has ambition, a taste for adventure and shares my love of the outdoors. Someone with ideas and convictions of her own, but open to others. Both serious and silly. She has a great desire to share her life fully, but is steadfast about maintaining her individuality. Oh yes, she is also sexy...very sexy.
Date people from California, United States. Friends describe me as wonderful down to earth guy who can make people laugh as well as laugh at himself. I'm a very supportive friend, Lover, great listern and very caring person. I love to pamper and aim to please my special someone. I'm looking for a woman who wants a great guy who is sweet and loves to be herself and full of life. If thats you, let's chat now!
Meet a soulmate from United States. I am loyal to a fault, been told I have a good sense of humor, will try anything twice (except opera), don't give up easily, sometimes obsessive about recycling and a decent soccer coach.
I am a good father and that will always be more important to me than work or career. I would rather my kids grow up to be kind and have good hearts than rich. I believe that the Second Greatest Commandment is important. I have learned from my past and know what I want. I am good at expressing my feelings and listening. I admit when I am wrong and am good at saying I'm sorry.
I am most often in t-shirts and jeans but clean up well (although everyone says that). I am equally comfortable in dives and fancy restaurants (again). I like staying home as much as going out (again). I like plays, off beat movies, Dodgers and Kings games, and whatever you or my kids like to do. I believe in God and go to church on Sundays not just Holidays. I don’t believe in the designated hitter, waiting 2 days to call someone back if I like her, silicone or dating more than one person at a time.
I think intelligence, jeans, black dresses and the small of a woman’s back are sexy.
I want someone who will love my kids, really has a sense of humor (sarcasm a plus), will call me on it when I am wrong, is not rigid, doesn’t run when things get tough and I make happy. She must have the same values and morals but be different enough on other things to make it interesting.
Date a soulmate from California, United States. attractive , athletic , traveler looking to have fun with a like minded woman. I enjoy all outdoor activities especially the beach. love to surf and I'm a great teacher if you want to learn.
Never used a dating website before but willing to give it a go
Meet a man from California, United States. I have a specific sense of humor. I am social, currious. I love to travel. I have been living in many countries. I like helping people in their life. I am grateful to still be alive. I am looking for a generous, funy loving life partner, beautiful and fashionable, with an international mind. The world is so big and interesting. I am passionate with architecture, art, fashion, design politics and the pathetic impact that we have on the environment... but as well music, cinema ... and yes soccer.
I am first looking for a partner at ease in a metropolitan highly educated and social way of life. Smart, sensitive but not necessarily practicing in the same creative fields. I am not conventional, simply because I came in L.A. in my mid 30's. I have a double citizenship French US. My life has been rich with good and difficult moments, and I really hope that there are better moments waiting ahead.
Date people from California, United States. Writing about oneself is dangerous business you know. What to say, what not to say. Perhaps we should be required to post some referrals! Well, I think it's important to be honest and real. I consider myself to be fairly balanced; combinations of work and play, adventure and solitude, family and friends. I've been married before as well as having significant relationships over the years. Yes, there have been ups and downs, which is what life is all about. But it's how you've lived and how you've treated people as you go; relationships change for various reasons but you must not give up on love and don't carry hate in your heart.
I have lived most of my life in Texas. I have a background in engineering and have worked in several other industries over the years. I've owned a business there for many years and now I am at a point where I fortunately have the time to pursue my interest in the film industry here in LA. I've had a place in Marina del Rey these past two years.
I have a passion for the ocean and I love the weather! I enjoy biking and jogging along the beach, dining here and there, checking out the streets of Venice and the drive to Malibu. Looking for some companionship, a new friend to enjoy some time together. See and do, talk and laugh!
Meet men and women from Venice, United States. I'm friendly easy going, love to meet new people from all walks of life. I've been told that I have a great sense of humor. World travel is very important to me; I always return with a fresh new outlook. I would love to have that special person join me. Let's go on a road trip for a long weekend on a whim. Let's find some new restaurants together. I'm also content with getting a movie and cooking at home. Hopefully you are adventurous and willing to try new things. Good luck on your journey !
