I'm a fairly private person in general, so posting my life story here feels a little wierd, I am a happy, healthy California native, grew up in the San Fernando Valley and have lived in the LA area for most of my life. I lived in New York for a short time which was really fun but I missed Southern California. I'm in good shape physically, mentally (as far as I can tell!) and financially, although after putting my 2 kids through college in the last few years, the luxury yacht and the private island may have to wait! Seriously, I wouldn't trade having the kids for anything, I'm still having a great time with them. I swim laps for exercise 2 or 3 times a week, surf and sail for fun, want to learn how to Scuba Dive some day soon. Put me anywhere near a beach and I'm happy! I'm pretty content just hanging out close to home most of the time with an occassional weekend trip, but I like to roam once in a while as well. I'm up for just about anything when it comes to travel. I have a Passport and there are still a lot of places in the world that I want to see. I like to go camping occasionally (I own a tent and a Coleman stove and I know how to use them!), but a nice hotel on a beach somewhere warm is probably my first choice for a getaway. Hawaii never seems to get old.

Spent to many years dedicated to the job and ready to better enjoy my downtime. Don’t get me wrong the job is not bad, as few people in the world get to do for a living what they have wanted to do since they were a kid, it just requires a lot of travel.
Photography is my favorite hobby and would like to do more of it, maybe even one day make it a profession. I read a lot but am not a writer (obvious to you by now I’m sure).
I play golf but am no Tiger Woods (I can run faster than my ex – bad joke I know) I am a double digit handicapper.
Tennis is fun but I’m always loose my voice after playing (“ball please, umm little help there, thanks”).
I have no desire to run a marathon but am always up for a beer crawl.
I like to shop (I’m a good Sherpa for your bags).
I like to dance and I have thought about taking a class or two (wait a minute “shopping, dance classes does that make me guy. Did I pick the wrong desired gender??? – just kidding).
I like going to dinner and a movie but am happy sharing kitchen duties to create a feast (something more exotic than beans and franks) and putting in a DVD.
I like watching sports (not much of a soccer fan) both in person and on TV (go Steelers, Giants and Yankees).
I am willing to try new things but not big on heights so jumping out of a perfectly good plane and bungee jumping are not on my bucket list but I’ll watch and take pictures.
I like long walks on the beach, romantic evenings blah blah balh and all that other stuff guys put in here. Seriously, I do like the beach but prefer one with clean warm water.
Could use a motivator to get me to the gym more or to follow on a bike trail.
I grew up in the south but have been in Southern California for the last 41 years. I still have a bit of the south in me… I open doors, still say “yes sir/no sir”, know to walk on the street side of you and know were the latter to your pedestal is, just wear a dress when your up there (don’t worry I just slapped myself).
My kids are very important to me. They all live away and all but one are local. They will be a part of any relationship I might enter into…..
There is more as I am always full of surprises but hey we have to have something to talk about on a date or two or three or forty seven…
