I've always felt that's a positive thing. I'm usually cool and collected, not hyper or bad tempered at all. That makes me sound a bit boring I suppose but I'm not I promise ;) I tend to be attracted to people with a similar demeanor. I'm honest and don't waste time trying to act macho, and I don't try to impress people by being fake. I think I have enough going for me as it is. If I meet someone and she doesn't like my hair or something then I'll change it though, within reason.
I enjoy trips to the coast and I love the outdoors. There are some beautiful places to see around here. I love walking around different places, at the lake, around town, the beach, wherever, night or day, summer or winter. I like to watch movies at home, play video games, work on cars, or go out for dinner on occasion. I love the internet, I've been using it and computers since I was about 9. I'm a nerd for sure in some ways, not so much in others, I love science and technology, politics tends to make me angry. I like animals, I grew up around them, we had dogs, cats, goats, horses, pigs, mules, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, turkeys, and others I can't think of right now.
I get along well with most people, I don't rub people the wrong way at all, I'm easy to be around and have good people skills. I was a retail supervisor for four years so I learned to be pretty chill even when someone else is freaking out in your face, it just becomes entertaining after a while. I can be quite sarcastic at times, but I'm not disrespectful. I love a good intelligent conversation and I'm not too quiet, especially if I can relate to someone. I prefer to spend my time with one person I really care about, doesn't matter what I'm doing. I'd rather go for a walk at the lake than go to a party. I don't really drink, never have wanted to. A glass of wine in the evening at home, ok, but drunk off my ass at some random party I won't even remember, no thanks.
I live in Redwood Valley and have a shop in Ukiah where I sell cars, used auto parts and some other things. I've been doing that for a few years now. It's hard to meet new people around here any more, mostly because I work alone much of the time I suppose and most of the people I meet are neither my age nor female, so I though I'd give this a try. I drive to the Bay Area a lot on business so I do get out of here often and would love to have someone to take with me again.
I have a small family, parents have been married for over 40 years and one older brother who's married with three kids. No drama with the family at all, they're all very nice.
I suppose I should write something about who I'd like to meet, but I struggle with that because I don't think I'm really picky. I need to be attracted to someone and also be very good friends. I want someone responsible and mature, regardless of age. I've known and worked with plenty of teenagers who acted like they were 30 and 30 year old folks who acted like they were 16, so a number doesn't mean much to me.
