Date a soulmate from California, United States. I recently moved to Twentynine Palms (Again!), and unlike most people I am pretty happy to be here. I have a good life, and I feel blessed. I have great friends, and most important of all I have a great son whom I raise alone, with a little help from the aforementioned friends. As far as my personality I am borderline between an ESTP and an ENTP on the Briggs-Myers Personality Test. Apparently only 4-5% of the population fall into that category so I suppose I am special. While I am suppose to be an extrovert there are times that I am introverted, and it is usually at the end of the day when I like to think.
I have been told that I write better than I speak. I suppose that is to be expected since I am a Texan! I am somewhat backwoods in attitude despite my higher education (My liberal-agenda professors tried to turn me, but common sense prevailed!).
I enjoy eating healthy (try to at least) and staying healthy, and while I may be active I don't sport a 6-pack. I am thinking about changing that, but I am still at the thinking stage. I enjoy working with my hands, and I can build just about anything even if I don't know how.
I am not too concerned about finding a mate, as I have become more in tune with just being satisfied with my current circumstance. As I said I am blessed in life, and I am happy being a great father raising my son. I have realized that having a partner isn't the key to my happiness. Anticipating the next question of "What are you looking for then" I have to say, "not much." I am open to possibilities, but I won't be disappointed if my life continues as it is.
I suppose that is about it for now.

Meet men and women from California, United States. Okay, so a little bit about myself. I was born, raised, and recently moved out here from the Redondo / Hermosa Beach area here in Cali. I must say, although while growing up, and being out here hundreds of times, It's alot different actually living in this dry waterless desert than at the cool sunny coast of the Pacific - to say the least - but it's okay, it's not killing me.. yet!. But truthfully, I really enjoy it out here, and since I'm not afraid of change, and can deal with diversity, I'm doing quite well. It was my choice to move here, because I knew exactly what I wanted, which was to get away from the busy crouded city, and get into a more soul calming environment. I bought my house in an area with little to no streetlights, where the stars are in the millions, and the coyotes roam the streets at night. It's a beautiful place. Different than the beaches I'm used to, but just as awesome in its own way. Actually, I gave myself the perfect Christmas present by aquiring my new home, and am very content with my decision. Of course, I left all my friends behind, and although it brought me closer to my two sisters, which is a great thing, it's also left a feeling of loneliness. Thank god for my little rescue dog!. lol. I manage, however, to keep myself busy by doing a variety of different things. I enjoy oil painting lanscapes, and photography, so it's perfect out here with all the colors at sunrises and sunsets. They're beautiful. Too bad I have no one to sit and hold while watching them right?. ;-) I also ride quads and horses, hike, camp out, and all that fun stuff. I still manage to play my guitar and write songs when I can, but I've been spending most my time doing the decorating of my home, as well as the landscaping and gardening needed outside. I love home improvement projects, and am constantly thinking of what I can do next, and after that, and after that!. I seriously, though, have been alone without a serious relationship in something like 14 years. I know, amazing huh?. Mostly because I don't put myself out there, and also partly because I still retain some of the shyness that has plagued me since youth. Haha. I have been told by many friends' wives that I'm the total catch, but whatever, I figure It's way past time to at least look somewhere for a partner that I can make a perminent part of my life, and heart. So, I suppose I'm looking for someone nice, respectful, moral, honest, faithful, a bit wild maybe, but totally sweet. I would also like her to be intelligent. Not in a rocket scientist kind of way (which is fine too), but to have common sense, be totally communicative, and be able to rationalize and handle tough issues just as well as she jokes and plays. We should have some things in common, but it's more than fine to have differences, it's actually good. If we can have intelligent conversations, thats a big plus. I'm not into physical or emotional abuse, and if there's a disagreement over something (which there always will be), it should be dealt with by calm listening and talking, and both of us having open minds to rationalize and come up with a solution "together." Teamwork and giving into anothers ideas are not necessarily a bad thing. But absolutely no one should ever lay a hand on the other, in any circumstance. Also, life is too short to waste time on selfishness and greed, so only truly kind and giving souls will I consider to be with. I believe relationships that last forever must be made of teamwork, with give and take, with open minds, with unselfishness, with compassion and understanding, with a common goal in mind and commitment to it, and to each other. I am pretty much an open book for those who are interested to know me, so don't be afraid to ask me anything.
