I have been described as a fun loving, laid back, funny/witty guy (I tend to agree). I will also add that I feel I am very honest. When it is time to work I am very focused on getting the job done, but I also definitely know how to relax. When I am not teaching or studying, I love watching sports (football and basketball mostly), playing sports (basketball), going to sporting events, hanging out with friends playing poker or board games, cycling (I finally biked to San Diego from Irvine and want to do it again. Faster, of course), watching a good movie or TV, camping, going for hikes (anything outdoors really), playing Words with Friends, or just sitting back with an ice cold beer (IPAs are so good) and enjoying living in beautiful California.
I was born with a natural ability to do mathematics as well as above average communication skills and patience. Add to that recipe the fact I love helping others and, you guessed it, I am a teacher. I taught high school geometry for three years, including some special education classes which was very fulfilling. I currently am working on my math masters degree and teaching economics at the community college level. Ultimately I want to be a tenured professor at the community college level teaching math.
My ideal match would have similar interests (except for when it comes to math! I do realize most people hate the stuff). I am looking for someone I can cook with, hike with, have philosophical conversations with, among other things; however, I am mainly looking for someone I can laugh with.

Meet someone special from California, United States. I'm on here because some of my friends are having good experiences from on-line dating. Not good as in laid for a night, but good as in meeting someone decent and having some semblance of a relationship. I actually know two couples that have met their loves through this site. I am crossing my fingers here. I never would have thought that I'd be turning 32 while most of my friends are far from being single and some juggling kids already. I was likely to be voted among my friends: the family man with a lovely wife and kids, a dog (got that), driving a minivan. Yes I am being sarcastic and exaggerating, a bit. But you get my point. By the way, if you are reading this just know that I am REAL.
My work has kept me busy in the past. I am ready to change courses of this ship with the right person. I've never been one to want to meet a girl at bars/clubs. It is just not my style. When I go out, it usually is for music, having a good time, be with friends and down for mostly anything. I don't drink alcohol, by preference, because I don't like the taste. Milk does a body good, not alcohol. It also has proven that it ages people faster because it is a toxin to the body. I was given a gift of looking youthful and I don't want to discount that. ;)
To share someone else about me, I'd tell you that I'm a big basketball and NBA fan. I love it as a past time and everything about it. You'd better know that my team is the LOS ANGELES LAKERS. I don't hate if you are not down for the Purple and Gold. Haha. This past season I had an incredible opportunity to be courtside. One more item off my Bucket List. I haven't been into the college sport but I'm getting there especially with Duke and UNC in my heart since visiting those schools. I would move there. I want kids someday, tall kids to play ball at Duke/UNC.
I wear my heart on my sleeve! If my friends were to describe me, they would say that I have a HUGE HEART. I'm someone my friends can always count on. I am looking for someone tall like 5'8" plus, beautiful, goofy humor, girly girl, great fashionable taste, no tattoos, education, athletic, witty, humble, spontaneous, classy, strong family relationship and values, fun, traditional and most importantly - a huge heart like mine....
