I was raised on wild game, canned goods, home baked bread and blueberries. My parents were Canadian emigrants from Vancouver, British Columbia. When I was five years old we moved to Montana for one year then to the Washington D.C. area. I didn't like the East Coast but I had a fantastic education. It taught me to love fine arts, history and to have a more insightful understanding of law, civil rights, religion and politics.
I do not fish or hunt. I abhor man's destructive impact on all the other species of the earth. I am a businessman so I appreciate traditional American values like, hard work, self-reliance and ingenuity. I love to travel and explore. I have been all over North America and to many countries in Central America and South America. I have taken three trips to Patagonia, backpacking, climbing and riding my 29" mountain bike. I just returned from my second adventure beginning in Ecuador and touring the Andes Mountains, the longest mountain range in the world. The trip has had many highlights.I backpacked to the Volcan Sangay, the fifth most active volcano in the world. I rode up and down the Maronan River canyon, twice as
deep as the Grand Canyon. I crossed the Cordillera Blanca, the highest tropical mountain range in the world, three times. I have been
to the Amazon Basin twice. Last year was a 10,000 foot descent into Peru's Manu National park, the most bio-diverse park in the world. Does this sound like fun? Bolivia is next. Join me! I have friends in Canada and New Zealand so I try to go to those countries often. I am very fit. I ride a mountain bike and road bike and I do all the ski sports. I like to boogie board, swim, run and paddle a surf ski. In the past I have enjoyed rock climbing, ice climbing and mountaineering. I also enjoy reading, writing, gardening, interior design and photography.

I believe we're here to have fun and be free to express ourselves. I love to cook, entertain friends and get people together.
