I don’t need to be on the go all the time. In fact, having down time is important to me. But getting outside and being active is also important. I enjoy getting together with friends and being social. But I also enjoy one-on-one time, whether it’s with friends or with a significant other.
I thrive on intelligent conversation and living at more than just a superficial level. I meditate on a somewhat regular basis, although not as much as I sometimes would like, which has made me a more peaceful person. I like challenging myself to think differently and to open my mind up to a larger (or just a different) perspective, although it’s still a work in progress. I’ve been told I have a dry, witty sense of humor.
I’m interested in someone who loves getting outside, but also enjoys being mellow, and is as comfortable with intellectual stimulation as with physical exercise. Having well-rounded interests is important (e.g. going on a backpacking trip one week and going to a show the next). I’m interested in a lasting relationship, but also in developing friendships. In my experience the best relationships involve being best friends.

Date someone special from Truckee, United States. let's see here... i'm a pretty fun gal who laughs a lot. i'm a bit of a goofball... and i am admittedly a little sarcastic. i have been snowboarding for quite a while. i also tele a little, xc ski, hike and mtn bike a bit. i like to visit new towns, meet new people or just walk the dogs and check everything out. even hitting the bowling alley on rainy days.
camping and river trips are up there on my fun list. my boys and i usually go camping a couple times a month once it warms up... we have this funky old 10' camper - it's a bit squished, but we have fun! it's how we roll. no global tours for a while (lucky you if you get to do it, though!)
i love most types of music. npr wakes me up every morning and then i switch over to pandora. my fav stations are: manu chao, english beat, classic country, the clash, white strips, etc. etc. i am also a HUGE fan of Alt.Latino podcasts - crazy good music there.
i just started to learn to play the guitar which is much harder than i thought it would be! holy cow, stevie ray vaughn!!! i can't believe i'm admitting this, but i also sort of play the accordion! yes, my friends do laugh at me!
what am i looking for? well, in one word: magnanimous.
and in more words: someone fun to hang out with, to go to the movies with, to ski with, or go check out some cool place i've never been. i have 2 awesome boys who are, and will always be #1. if you're not too into kids, it obviously isn't going to work out. i'm definitely not a game player. i like honesty and kindness. oh, and i don't need anyone who is TOO cool! - you've got to be able to laugh at yourself ('cause if you don't I will!)!
...and as for my "body type" - if there was a "CURVTHLETIC", that would be me! until they get that one on there, I'm calling myself "Average".
