I do enjoy some TV but I am not a couch potato. I love skiing. I love the water. I like new music. The old stuff is great but there is a lot of new music that is great too. I was once sipping coffee at some hole-in-the-wall in Ventura County when somebody came up to me and asked if I had been crossing a certain street in Pasadena the previous day. I was! Complete strangers often come up to me to comment on my hat, shirt, and sometimes my wristwatch. I don't know what this says about me but it's true.
Summertime is my favorite season, not just because I'm a warm weather guy, but because of all the outdoor concerts that go on all summer in my community. One can count on two to three concerts a week all summer long. T.O. is a great town to live in if you love music.
Every spring I plant a vegetable garden and usually end up with enough overflow to feed the neighbors. I gave up on tomatoes years ago because I hate those nasty green bugs that they seem to attract, and I can get good ones at the farmer's market anyway. I have had good luck with cucumbers, peppers, onions, carrots, and various melons which I grow from seed.
I don't have any children of my own, but I am close to my niece whose lavish lifestyle is partially subsidized by her "rich" uncle! It will be nice when she's out of school and can support herself on her own.
I'm reasonably accomplished in the kitchen. I can make Szechuan Hot and Sour soup from scratch and my ostrich chili is famous. I'd love to find someone to swap secret ingredients with . . .
