One of the big reasons I have been this way is due to a car accident that almost took my life away. It happened when I was 14 years old and really made me realize that life is short. If you are too afraid of everyday life you will never truly live. Everyday I wake up and just realize how awesome it is to be alive.
I have always had an interest in pretty much everything; I think things need to be tried before we can truly say we did not like them. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. They are the ones who mold us who we are today, and I think it is important to hangout with people who can help develop us to that next level. I used to be a smoker when I was younger (Yeah I know, disgusting habit), but I haven't had one in over 5 years. A friend of mine helped me find a more productive outlet, so now I've fallen into the habit of a healthy lifestyle. I exercise everyday except for weekends and the occasional friday. (Have to put time in for some fun right?) But I digress, family is MAJOR for me. The values and disciplines I've learned as a child made me into the man I am today, and I'm grateful for it. Respect also comes into play with family. If you don't respect your own family then how can I expect you to have respect or teach it to our family should it come to that.
I love being outdoors and I've two crazy dogs who I take fishing, camping, and hunting. I love being outside, especially around water. I only have one major vice and that's golf. So there you have it, me in a nutshell.

Born in in California I do have the laid back so-cal attitude along with an enjoyment of sunshine and the perfect weather. The first place I went to abroad was Germany, and I think it instilled a love of adventure in me. The next country is Ukraine and while there I picked up a love for Russian/Ukrainian food as well as an enjoyment for beautiful art and old cities. While teaching English abroad in the Republic of Georgia (South of Russia) I realized how much I missed warm weather but I also love history to as seen in my long hike to visit a 1000 year old monastery can be.
I am currently working on my masters degree in history. History has been my passion since I was a child and so I think I should stick with what im natural at. Through history I came to enjoy everything from politics to literature. I also am an active guy and I do yoga and martial arts. My goals are I want to make a difference and travel some more, simple I know. While I do enjoy going out I also enjoy the simple things such as great conversations with friends and reading a good book.
