Date people from California, United States. I am the proverbial "Great Guy" (or so my friends tell me). I'm laid back, easy going, but boring is definitely not part of the equation. I'm trusting (sometimes to my own detriment) have a quick wit, enjoy having fun and laughing with others. I'm the proud father of three extremely talented and wonderful kids. After 30 years I'm ready to start enjoying myself and hopefully, in the process, find someone to share that enjoyment with me. Life really is too short to fore go your happiness. Who am I looking for? A self-sufficient woman that knows what she likes and therefore chooses to be with me because she wants to. Someone who's actions let me know that she thinks I'm special. A text message saying she is thinking of me. A card for no reason. Little things. Nothing over the top. Because that is how I am. Flowers when it is NOT your birthday. A voice message saying that you are on my mind and that I am looking forward to seeing you soon. Someone who is not afraid to laugh hysterically with a highly developed sense of sarcasm. A woman that acts younger than she looks because I like a mature woman who hasn't forgotten what it's like to be a girl. Someone who likes cooking at home together just as much as going out. Someone who makes me smile when I think of her. Oh, and friendship is not at all out of the question. It's welcomed. The ideal date? It may involve eating, entertainment or intimate conversation. It definitely involves me, you and a long, drawn-out moment where we both don't want to say good night. What have I learned in my 52 years? It's better to understand than to be understood. Laughter can save a relationship; lack of laughter can kill it. The original Star Trek is the ONLY Star Trek. And if you don't get Monty Python that might be a deal breaker. Things are different now, but I look forward to taking some chances and seeing who's out there. If you feel the same let me know.
