Date people from Tarzana, United States. I am a fortunate person who enjoys creativity (I'll say this again below) and risk taking where it counts. I eat healthy and treat my body as holy as I see the world. I see being single as an opportunity to travel freely and often--and i do. I am proud of my achievements. I see attempt as victory and folly as necessary steps.
In life I've had incredibly brilliant people call me a genius and some drunks at a party call me an idiot. Maybe I'm an idiot-savant ;-) or maybe the world reflects back your perspective. People generally think I'm in my 20s by appearance. Getting to know someone for me should involve doing lots of activities, if we rely on just conversations I will alter reality, turn your brain to cheese, and lose my voice.
As for LA--I don't fit the city too well because the people who come here seem to value Hollywood. I hate television and find movies generally a waste of time; that said I respect and admire people who have talent and work hard. Hollywood selects content and chooses the talent that it wants to highlight and there is where it fails.
I enjoy music, creativity, traveling, creativity, and creativity.

Extras:
Overrated/Underrated--
Vegas is over rated and Humboldt County is underrated. Alcohol is overrated and home-blended juices are underrated. The heat is overrated and cool misty weather is underrated. Psychology is overrated and philosophy is underrated. Words are overrated and mystery is underrated. Quotes are overrated and the books they came from are underrated. Status is overrated and creative curiosity is underrated. Clocks are overrated and the sunrise is underrated. Make-up is overrated and hygiene is underrated.
Meet a man from Tarzana, United States. I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and currently still live there. Athletics has always been and continues to be an integral part of my life. After playing baseball at UNLV, I played in the minor leagues for the Texas Rangers Organization. Although I only played for several years, it was one of the greatest experiences of my life that led me to become an entreprenuer. I currently own and operate a small company which helps high school baseball and softball players to achieve their goals of receiving an education while playing collegiately. I love what I do!
More importantly, my family and friends mean the world to me. There's nothing I wouldn't do for them and there is nothing they wouldn't do for me. Growing up in LA, I'm fortunate to have friends that are kind, compassionate, genuine and all around good people. I often tell people that I aspire to be half the man that I believe them to be.
As for me, I still love to workout (gym and crossfit), travel, enjoy a nice dinner with friends and occasionally, you'll find me at a salsa club! Bottom line, my party days are LONG behind me!
I’m looking for a woman who I can share my life with while growing old together with an amazing connection from the very beginning till the very end. She would be compassionate, thoughtful, considerate, supportive, articulate, genuine and completely honest. She would take pride in her appearance and a lot of her beauty would shine from within. She would give me the emotional support during tough times. She would know when to push and when to pull and all this would be easy for her because it's just who she is as a person, compassionate with a big heart.
Date people from Tarzana, United States. I'm trying Match.com as an experiment. I can't wait to find out what happens. I began said experiment 6/8/2012.
I grew up in LA and have lived in SF, Chicago, NYC, and DC, although I spent summers in rural Arkansas as a child. I was a creative writing/ English lit major. I went to law school, was a COO, but now I'm taking premed classes, as I think some sort of career in holistic medicine will suit me best.
I love hiking, running, cooking, going out to eat, music, art, film, lectures, reading, writing, meeting new people, the farmers' market, and travelling. I also enjoy relaxing. My amazingly beautiful and smart four year old daughter is with me Monday through Thursday, so I have weekends to relax. I go to a writing workshop and meditation classes, grow vegetables, herbs and berries in my garden, and give food from the farmers' market to homeless people most weeks.
Some things that make me smile: Monty Python, Beatles, Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Pillow Book of Sei Shonagon, Lao Tzu, dark chocolate, lucid dreaming, Taschen books, Hemingway, Nicholson Baker, Chris Kraus, T Rex, Cat Stevens, I Ching, cellos, carpaccio and a glass of wine at my favorite cafe.
I have a weakness for In N Out burgers. I will bring up Star Wars if I drink too much. I can't drink even decaf coffee or I will not sleep. I secretly love "Spies Like Us." I make the best chili.
I have all these sort of weird photos on my profile as my last SD card went missing about a month ago. The photos are from a shoot I did this year for a book. (Update: for whatever reason, I can't upload new photos to Match.com. Actually, there's a story. I think it's pretty funny, like the time I was banned for a day from Youtube.) I usually appear more cheerful, slightly less like I'm communicating with God in a shower while wearing a plastic bag.
I suppose I'm looking for a smart, funny, educated, attractive, genuine person to see what happens.
Another update: My experiment is going well. I did not expect the primary consequence of my participation on Match.com to be more of an understanding of how I prefer to be treated and what I find attractive and less than attractive in myself and others. On a day to day basis, I find this whole thing pretty hilarious, but I'm noticing a subtle evolution in myself, even though I haven't really been participating as fully as I might.
