I am physically and mentallly much younger than my age as I have always been in athletics and always worked out. .I keep myself in very good condition and take care of myself. See, there was this time awhile back when I had a large dog, and while buying a large 40 lb. bag of Purina one day at Wal-Mar the woman behind me asked, "Do you have a dog?"
"Duh?", I thought.
On impulse, I told her no, I was starting The Purina Diet again. Although I probably shouldn't, because I'd ended up in the hospital the last time. But I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes everywhere and IVs in both arms.
I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and the way it works is to load your pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete, so I was going to try it again.
I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line with us was now enthralled with my story, particularly a tall guy who was standing behind her.
Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I'd been crossing the street, when I stopped to chase my tail and a beer truck hit me.
I thought the guy standing behind her was going to need help as he staggered to the door laughing.

You don't need to "match my mountains" like Sir Edmund Hillary required, though you do need to "like my Lake". Hey, it's Tahoe! What's not to like? lol

For clarification, I work in Woodland as a Commercial Insurance agent during the week and I live at Lake Tahoe on the weekends. I used to be at the Lake full time but these days, you have to go where there's a larger volume of clients. Ideally, YOU live between Sacramento and Reno, or at least enjoy spending time at Tahoe. Yet, for the “right” someone, geography is simply a logistic to be worked out.
(OK, two things...) While I do appreciate the interest from "20 and 30 Somethings", it's relatively easy to look cute and attractive at that age. It says so much more about the individual who is willing and able to to take the time and expend the energy needed to achieve and maintain "similar but different" levels of attractiveness in her late 40s and 50s without artifice. It's also easier to have an extended conversation with someone when that other person has a full life of experiences from which to draw.

My experiences have taught me consistency and character attract the same. Which makes for a great guest list at a party. I have a clear view of right and wrong. Museums to thrift stores catch my eye. A sand crab racing to his hole before the next wave makes me laugh.. I believe in people's chemistry in the early stages. Hope you do also. I'm very comfortable with who I'm . Definitely a doer not a sitter . Couch tatters need not apply. What I'm looking for , a woman who likes herself and is comfortable in her skin. I have lived in the Tahoe area for about two years now, and I am completely enamored of my home. I love being so close to epic hikes, beautiful water, and snow. I still feel like there is so much here that I have not done yet.
Striking the right tone in describing oneself is always a challenge. I am confident about who I am, frankly. I am also very thankful for the life that I have. While setting goals and working towards them has resulted in my finding myself here, I have also been very lucky.
I try to do something outside every day- biking, hiking, SUPing, skiing, some yoga on the deck, or just walking my dog. I do believe that almost everything is better shared. One of my favorite in-door activities is to cook for friends. I'm about a 90% vegetarian, but I'll cook meat for others, and even indulge in it every once in awhile. I truly enjoy almost any music, especially when it's live, and the musicians are talented.
I like people who challenge me and make me laugh. I believe that physical attraction is important. However, I believe that we are all only ever attracted to the whole person, so having humility, a sense of humor, and confidence plays a part in that attraction, as well.
