Meet a soulmate from California, United States. I'm intelligent, fun (and funny) and active. I want to travel, experience new places and revisit special ones. I like to eat out, especially ethnic foods that are harder to reproduce at home. I want to share the day to day things in life (and books and movies and symphony and dance and live music) with someone whose very presence in the room can make me smile. I'm not much on cooking, but I make good things to eat and eating healthfully is very important to me. I'm a good baker. I don't do it often, but I do it more frequently when I have someone to bake FOR.
I spend a lot of time reading history. I got tunnel visioned studying medicine, and now I have time to read history, biographies and historical fiction. I read a lot of military history and watch the military channel and history channel and documentaries. I also love movies and watch a movie or two a week (hey, I live alone! I have time).
I like sports. I've always done sports. Right now I am playing a huge amount of tennis. I just took it up a couple of years ago, so I have to make up for lost time. I also snow ski, water ski and do all kinds of stuff in the gym, but I'd rather be playing tennis. My favorite sport to watch is football, but I can be persuaded to watch most sports.
I have to admit I don't take this online dating all that seriously. I can't imagine finding a soul mate, whatever that is, by online dating. But it's a great way to meet new people and have a coffee or lunch date and it is also a great deal of fun trying to get to know someone by email. I haven't found much luck matching the "virtual man" to the "real man" doing this. But it's very entertaining, and you never know!

Date men and women from California, United States. June 1st, it's summer we're half way through 2012, what a great time to start getting my feet wet again out there in that "dating world". What I hope to find out of this, hopefully enjoyable process is first foremost a friend. Someone I'd eventually feel comfortable in calling saying "hey do you want to go do this or that". Someone that communicates, is caring, sincere, a gentleman, outgoing, has a good sense of humor, who can make me laugh, be silly with, enjoy each others company like me for me. I have a daughter that I am very proud to show off who will be a Junior in college. Althought family always was/is important to me, I am currently disconnected from my other immediate family which saddens me. I'm very independant, enjoy my free time seeing friends, dining out, casino trips, going to bingo, music, singing in the car, the sun, vacations, shopping, watching movies or just relaxing. My friends would describe me as loyal, faithful, generous, funny, good at keeping in touch, good at organizing get togethers, somewhat conservative & shy at first. I care about my appearance & hope you care about yours. If you have anger issues, have been arrested, go to bed with a different girl every night, smoke, have a STD or do drugs I'm not interested in getting to know you.
