Date men and women from United States / California / Soquel, 77 year old

Date people from Soquel, United States.
I am a retired alpaca rancher in the Santa Cruz Mountains. I have a few old alpaca friends left to eat the weeds, but I no longer have breeding and selling babies as my business. The physical labor still keeps me in shape and the care of animals keeps me happy. I walk 2 or 3 miles nearly every day with my dogs. I live on a one lane road in the redwoods. Across the road is a 5000 acre State Park so I see a lot of wildlife.
I am a youngish, atttractive, strong, calm, healthy, intelligent, rational women with a good sense of humor, and genes for longevity. I love good conversation & hate to shop. I am not religious or political. I like to be open and honest and am one of the most reliable people you will ever meet.
I lost my house in the 1989 earthquake. My son(who is a builder) and I built my rustic new home with lots of windows facing Monterey Bay - 1400 ft. elevation and about 5 miles from the water. I had to live in a trailer while we were building, so I have had enough of camping.
I grew up in Detroit, graduated from Michigan State and after living in 8 states and doing a lot of traveling I am content to be here on the coast of California. My life is wonderful here in the redwoods and I would like to find a great friend to share it with. I've enjoyed living alone for several years, but now with long winter nights approaching, I'd like some company. It would be great to get involved in a stable long term relationship - not marriage though. Just for many happy days.
P.S. After meeting several Match men for lunch over the last two years I am beginning to think that one or two meetings are not at all
adequate to decide if you really like someone. I don't have expectations of love-at-first-sight or "chemistry" with some stranger. For someone who would be a "maybe" the most I can say after one meeting is - I think I like you so far. Friendship takes a long time to develop. What do you think?
