I've twice been a Big brother in the Big Brother/Big Sister program. Both of my "littles" are quality people (and no longer little). It meant a lot to me to have that experience.
I've practiced law but have found my home in the field of education. I've taught internationally.
I've flown my own airplane over the Grand Canyon and rafted through the canyon as well.
I sang with a dance band at weddings in college.
All that said, I don't think you can really tell a lot from a person's profile. It comes down to chemistry and connection so if there's a possibility of interest I prefer to talk by phone or meet rather than exchange a lot of emails. I just get a much better sense of a person that way.
I've been asked why I've never married. I am looking for a committed relationship and understand the concern someone would have. I've had long term relationships, loved deeply and experienced the pain of losing love.
