I came to an understanding, with myself at a very deep level. I have learned to see and observe things with my heart and put my opinions, projections and judgements aside. I have allot of self confidence but not arrogance.Im the guy with allot of experience. And a man in control of his emotions, dont have to convince, explain or lie about who I am because I know exactly who I am and that is all that matters. I see with my heart and love with my actions. You can test my metal anytime. Men always have a plan for success, while boys no matter what age always have excuses for failure. I love sex and never get a complaint they always come back for more. I dont get all love struck and those who do only seek to serve themselves. I dont want to own anyone, if your still standing there it will be because you want to be. I have a depth of insight and a treasure inside me beyond any riches of gold or money. I attract what is real, and give to get back. I?m kind, loving, full of compassion and at the same time tuff, and hard but fair. I dont live my life excepting dogma and the results of other peoples thinking or opinions. I have true freedom inside me, and have the courage to follow my own inner voice. I have been a drummer since I was a kid, and I love to play and record music with my friends. We play a variety of Rock stuff. Most of us guys got our inspiration from the old 70s and 80s bands like Led Zeppelin. I just moved up here to Simi Valley, California for work to be closer to the guys I have worked with, am like brothers with for the past 10 years. I lived in San Diego for 20 years before that. I've been around the world and I have seen so much. I was in the Navy for 4 years in my younger days. But have come a very long way since that. I’m a Golfer by love, a Smart-ass by genetics, a Computer-Wiz by career and a Motorcyclist by choice. Like to walk in the evening and (sometimes) work out in the morning. Love to cook and entertain on the weekends with friends, some have told me they'd rather come over to my "restaurant" than go out. An occasional cigar and scotch are a treat. I like to get stuff done on Saturday so I can goof-off on Sunday - either a round of Golf or a Cruise on the bike somewhere for lunch and a pretty sunset. My work schedule is fairly flexible, so I can get/take time off pretty easily. Go to many live concerts and like almost any kind of music, especially Pink Floyd, Reggae and Country (not at the same time!). I am a clean-cut hippie and might be old but got to see most of the GOOD bands! It's fun to people-watch at the mall and I actually like to do yard work - I get a good sense of completion and afterwards that beer tastes soo good! I hate doing dishes, painting and washing cars. I tell the truth, no matter what. I'll tell you what I think if you ask me, and probably even if you don't! Please do the same! I have been learning a little about Zen and my favorite new word is EQUANIMITY. I like long weekends to travel around our beautiful state and hope to visit British Colombia and Australia. Some activities I haven’t yet had the chance to try but want to – Horseback riding, Volunteer to a worthy cause, Martial arts class, Yoga. I know a little bit about a whole bunch of things and a whole lot about a few things. Sorry, I'm not a cat person and there is no room in my life for Liars, Cheaters or Black Widows - been on the bad end of those a couple of times. I'm reasonably self-sufficient and mostly house-broken - was a single dad for 15 years. I will hold the door for you, I know when to say I’m sorry – and mean it, I love my Mom(s), I will TRY to learn how to dance, The seat will be down, paper will be on the roll and a water for you on the nightstand, I've been accused of being a hopeless romantic - greeting cards for no reason, roses and raunchy texts; candles, incense and backrubs in the tub...This is starting to sound conceited/selfish, so please be assured I'm gonna' be very curious about and open to your likes and feelings too, so fess up and show me something new!
I think most everything comes down to:
1) Be Nice.
2) Accept that sometimes life is great and sometimes it sucks.
3) Laugh!

I've always had a healthy lifestyle and maintained my mind and body by exercising and eating right. People say I look years younger than I actually am - can't say I ever get tired of hearing this. My friends would say i'm loyal, trustworthy, fun to be around, athletic and well preserved. I am secure, well educated, enjoy my job and can laugh at myself. Having grown up skiing in New England, I soon realized the West Coast was where it was at. I love to be mentally and physically challenged and found that at a little place called Jackson Hole, WY. I was brought up knowing how to treat a lady with dignity and respect. In my book, chivalry is not dead. I enjoy stimulating conversation, movies, nice dinners, holding hands, walks, happy hours and wine tasting to name a few. But I also enjoy the quiet times - just not alone. About me should be the easy part, however, it's really not so easy to write about myself in one small paragraph, but here goes anyway...........I am light-hearted, honest to the core, can be serious, but love to be silly and laugh. People I know always describe me as dependable, as boring as that sounds! I believe in integrity and commitment, and will always be there physically and emotionally for those I care about. I am very active and athletic and enjoy many activities such as tennis, skiing, running, hiking and ping pong. (Yes, ping pong is a sport and you can even work up a sweat!) I have been going to the gym for years and years to stay in great physical shape, but mostly because I think exercise is key to becoming a centenarian!
My most prized accomplishment is raising my three amazing kids one of which is an adult, the other two, twin teens, but they think they're adults! I think most of us on this website and in our age range have a story. Most are divorced, some are widowed, some never married, but we are all searching for something. Many of us are determined to find the "perfect" match because we are afraid of making another mistake in a relationship. Honestly, I don't think any of us will ever just come across our perfect match or if it even exists. A long lasting relationship, in my opinion, takes effort on the part of both participants. I have to admit that in the beginning, there must be chemistry or there's not much motivation for further exploration. But, we all know that after a few dates, that initial chemistry morphs either into something more meaningful or fades away and dies. So, with that said, I don't have a "blueprint" of who I am searching for as people are so diverse and have so many distinct qualities. I am sure that I am attracted to intelligent, witty men who are educated and have a zest for their successes in life. I am drawn to men who are loyal, honest and have a great sense of humor. You gotta love to laugh!! I'm not so much into serial dating. Once I decide I like someone, I tend to want to spend time with them exclusively.
I prefer emails over winks, talking on the phone over texting, and while I appreciate the ease and convenience of communicating electronically, I am one of those people who still handwrites thank you notes and letters. It's so much more exciting to receive a real letter or card in the mail than on the computer; at least for me. Of course, my kids think I'm incredibly old fashioned in this sense! Whatever happened to meeting someone at a friend's BBQ, nice next door neighbor or someone from church?!? I miss the good old days when I was asked out in person, however shy and awkward that may have been, it still beats text or email. Well, you gotta love this day and age, right?
My kids are older and lives on their own now. I've been told 1) I look much younger than my age (most people thinks I'm in my 30's) so I tend to attract younger crowd, but NOT because I'm immature by any means :-) 2) I'm different than most women - in a positive way; pretty low maintenance, I know how to read a road map and I'll tell you what's wrong if you ask so be careful what you ask for.. :-) 3) I'm VERY easy to talk to.. I listen well without passing any judgment.
I love my work, love even more to serve at church. I'm pretty much of a simple person, try to "go green" and make a difference somewhere or to someone no matter how small that may be.. I'm an optimist so I prefer not to be around pessimists. I'm content on my own, but would love to find a man to share the joy, laughter and happiness. He would be head-over-heels for me, just as I would for him; he can't wait to talk/see me and adores me for who I am, just as I would for him; he accepts and loves every part of me, just as I would for him; he is still thankful for me, even when I'm mad at him - OK, maybe that was too much to ask :-) I'd be happy with a man who uses less hair products than I, someone who knows the difference between too two, your you're, there their - need I continue? I tend to be attracted to a tall, slim Caucasian with blue eyes and I'm a sucker for a guitar player. I'm a frugal person who appreciates what I have knowing there are others who have less. Luxuries are nice, but not a necessity. Very comfortable in my own skin and don't mind dressing up once in a while, but most comfortable in shorts and sandals.
Summer is here and it's time for weekend camping trips!! Just got back from fishing and swimming in Kern River, hiking in Yosemite and beach camping. Kings Canyon is next and would love to find that special man to share it with..
