Have I seen you here before? I was on Match.com a few years back and it is an interesting study in marketing and human behavior. You send someone youre interested an e-mail and Match.com shows you pictures of 3 other women - so much for monogamy; go figure? Well, I am back in the dating pool but I dont want to stay in the pool too long cause Ill get all wrinkly.
I am a Marine Biologist and my office is in the North Bay but each winter I sample herring in the San Francisco Bay aboard a research vessel. Actually I am not that nautical by nature (OK , maybe a little naughty by nature). Most of my work is done sitting in front of a computer analyzing data and writing regulations and reports. My job is challenging but very interesting. Late fall through spring is my busy time and my work schedule is lightest and most flexible in summer.
A friend of mine recently said that I am one of only 2 people he knows that could make a living as a stand up comic. Hes full of well lets just say, Id starve. I do like trying to make people laugh and once in a blue moon my humor mojo gets going and Im unstoppable  I should stop but I dont. I tend to have a self effacing sense of humor OK, everybody effacing. Hey! I can laugh at my own mistakes but it's even more fun to laugh when someone else messes up.
I'm an easy going kind of fella; optimistic, active, playful, physical, affectionate, quiet, sometimes silly, sometimes serious. I will share ideas with you that you have never heard before. We will continue to hold hands and kiss until we're 100. Lets go hiking - anything from a stroll in the city to a wilderness trek, biking, kayaking, snorkeling, playing tennis, volleyball or basketball, snow shoe, or ski and did I mention hiking?
What else should you know about me? I can't say in polite company. I want to tell you I'm a bad boy or an international man of mystery, but really I'm just an average Joe. Actually, I would say that I've got the personality of a very loyal dog. I have a playful nature but I wont make a mess on your rug. I try not to chase my tail too much. I've been told that I have puppy dog eyes too. Well, I can see these dog comparisons getting too risque fast, so I had better stop here.
So what the heck am I looking for in a woman? Each time I think I have it down someone surprises me. The best matches on paper arent always the best in real life. Maybe you are the surprise that I have been looking for?
Honesty, respect, and communication are keystones to ANY good relationship. I am not looking for one night stands and I'm not in a hurry, but I am looking for a friendship possibly leading to a long term, passionate, monogamous relationship. If I meet a few friends along the way, that is great too.
