(tapping fingers) So, what are you waiting for?
I enjoy the usuals: running, biking, hiking, camping, soccer, softball. As you probably already know, it’s hard not to be active in Sonoma County. Running - I most enjoy running in semi-organized races ... the Human Race in Santa Rosa is an example of a good 10K that I just ran. Biking – I commute to work sometimes but also enjoy riding around. Hiking – My favorite places here are Salt Point and Pomo Canyon. Soccer/Softball – I am a member of an indoor soccer league (SportsCity), and an outdoor city softball league.
In addition, you can find me on the ice. I curl! Yes, the sport where you see everyone sweeping brooms on the ice. That’s me. I can show you how to sweep! All kidding aside, I’m currently working on my instructor’s certificate in the sport and just finished a year on our Club’s Board of Directors. And, most recently, I participated in a skills clinic sponsored by USA Curling. I was just in two tournaments … one in April and another in May.
Travel is also one of my interests. My last trip was to St. Lucia and Martinique in the Caribbean. Before that it was Costa Rica. I guess warm places in the Caribbean are what’s trending??? Really, though, I find meeting people from other countries and cultures really fascinating.
Ready to head to Tahoe??? If you’re a winter sports girl, that’s where you earn the bonus extra credit points with me. I absolutely love snow skiing and snowboarding (though admittedly I am a much better skier). I would say my favorite spot in California to ski is Squaw Valley … but I’m really not averse to going anywhere. I’ve been out East (Vermont), to Colorado and Wyoming, and even Canada before. So, let’s hit the slopes for a good hard day of exercise and then the apres ski activities are your pick.
I also enjoy doing volunteer work … lately for the County Parks. Most recently, with three other volunteers, I installed some water bars at Foothill Regional Park in Windsor. Before that, I’ve done trail work, weed whacking, pulling weeds, moving junk, creating drainage, helping kids out at the Fall Festival, and so on.
But hey, don’t let me drone on here … let me bore you in person! I'm not into drawing guidelines or boundaries for a woman. Just relax and be yourself. I have a science and math background so I'm pretty left-brained.

Date a man from California, United States. My name is Max, I'll tell you my last name later. I was born and raised in London England and came to the U.S for college. I've lived here off and on ever since. As a teenager I travelled around Europe extensively. When I came to America I was amazed by its size and beauty. I have since crisscrossed this country at least seven times, in cars and by train, and seen every state in the lower forty-eight. Although I travelled a lot in my twenties and early thirties I do not ramble around as much as I used to. I like to go on about one trip a year, and have found I like nice hotels now where as before I was just as happy in a sleeping bag under the stars.
I am a creative spirit and anyone who wants to be with me has to know I do not live a life of conformity. I studied sculpture and ceramics at University. After school I worked as a production ceramist for some time. I then moved out to L.A were I worked in film, mostly documentaries. I got tired of L.A and moved up to Oregon where I learned how to build houses. I now work in a variety of fields from producing instructional videos for the internet to commodity trading. I don't like to work hard for my money so my philosophy is work smarter not harder.
My passions are music and film making. I play guitar and banjo and write a lot of songs, mostly folk, blues and old country type stuff. I am very taken by Americana. I'm also trying to finish a Documentary that I have been working on for a number of years. I'll tell you more about that if we meet.
I want to find a confident woman who knows herself. Although I am a very positive man I can not make you happy so you have to come to the table with that quality. I want to find my soul mate if thats possible. Someone to grow with and become a better person with. I will not be you daddy but I will not be your child either, I want to find my equal. Having said that I am far from perfect so I would never expect that from somebody else.
I like to go on long walks regularly, camping, skiing when I can. I also like to eat good food, go dancing, clubs and the occasional festival. I am a thinker and enjoy a good conversation. I'm an extravert but I'm not as social as I used to be so I find I am often just as happy to stay home, watch a movie, get in the hot tub or just read a book. I think everything requires balance. However I am a big fan of a good time:) I like to laugh as much as possible so I'm looking for someone with a good sense of humor who sees the funny sides of life. Silly and goofy are not bad words to me!
