Date someone special from United States. I'm not very good at writing about myself. But I guess I can sum it up by saying that I'm a happy laid back guy, who loves animals and the outdoors. I have a big heart that I sometimes wear on my sleeve. I eat healthy and love to excersise. I always try to make the best out of situations and I love to laugh and crack jokes. Here are some ways I create those qualities in my life: I have always worked in a profession that I love, currently as a bilingual teacher. I have to create; it keeps me balanced. I do this through songwriting, creating skits and stories, poems outsider art. Also must dance weekly even if it's in my living room: salsa, samba, cumbia, even some stuff in English. : ) My goal is to travel somewhere new each year. Since '05, I think I've succeeded. Highlights so far were: Brazil, Mexico, Hawaii, B.C., Cuba, Spain.... To do list includes: Turkey, Greece, Italy, Egypt, Japan, Buenos Aires, Peru.
Balance comes from occasional yoga meditation as well. Also partake in almost daily exercise like capoeira, salsa dancing, hiking, mountain biking, even swimming. Just happen to love to move. I get passionately involved in projects be it gardening, or putting on a show with other musicians.
I picture a relationship as an investment that takes time. Not into drama. I'm a romantic, I love a lot of physical cuddling loviness (just made that word up.) Flowers, quality time together are more meaningful than money spent. Communication is important to me, but my hope is not to process things too much. I was a psychology major in grad school but I know when to smile just live.
I want to be someone's number one because that is how I will treat you. I am serious about finding a long-term, committed relationship... so long as we seriously laugh together. Mutual commitment and fidelity allow me to feel relaxed and open in a relationship to allow for all kinds of spontaneous fun together. If you are serious about finding your partner in crime too, then you know what to do. I am not in a hurry at all, I am more interested in seeing if we are happy together.
Please be a decent speller, and someone who loves to dance, even if it's just dancing from the heart and not technically perfect. Humility is also a turn on. Being honest with me and yourself about who you are is a major turn on. A spiritual practice is great, but it doesn't matter to me really what you practice, as long as you have some tools for centering yourself in this kooky world; even if it's shooting hoops or knitting. : )
Deal breakers are: smoking, addictions to work or daily drinking or pot, (occasional is fine.) Republicans. People who never want to get married. Oh, yeah, and people who fiddle with their Iphones every 5 minutes.
A couple of my faults: My sink often has a few dishes ('cause I'm often cooking up something yummy). My house is clean enough to be healthy, dirty enough to be happy. I could be more punctual at times, but I am definitely working on it and if it's important to my partner I will up the ante, but if you are type-A about it, you should probably skip me over. In short, I'm happiest running on Latin time, but I can hustle out the door when I gotta. I don't like horror movies, but I'm not working on that one.
