I am most proud of my flexibility. I lost my husband, then my job but I still keep on looking for new adventures and putting myself out among the living. I have not been much of a traveler but with my new freedom I would like to give it a try, with a compatible companion of course. I have a good sense of humor, am loyal and honest. I have been told by a colleague that I am the most creative person he ever met. I do have a strong affinity for photography, writing, art, singing, creating novel handcrafts and acting. I have been part of the singing group: "Sweet Adelines" the woman's version of barbershop four part harmony. I also recently joined the Prime Time Players group with the Long Beach Senior Center and we are currently rehearsing for yet another show. I am basically shy but love to perform, go figure! Sewing is another great hobby of mine and have sewn my own clothes and creative objects for sale.
I do not like boastful men who announce right from the start how handsome and well groomed they are. I do not like men who are vain. I am not impressed by men who are body builders, sky divers, deep sea divers, runners, car racers, snorkeling and other dare devil activities. I could never keep up with him, and who would want to?
I miss the thunderstorms, and the rain we had in Montreal, Canada where I grew up. I also miss the snow. My favorite thing to do as a child was to dive from our balcony into the "snowbanks". My mom would spend hours dressing me up in snowsuit and hat and gloves and boots and scarf, so much clothes that I could barely move. My love of snow is what prompted me and my husband to buy the cabin in the mountains that we still have. Our cabin in Big Bear does have some snow in the winter, in a good year.
My part chihuahua dog provides me company, affection and total acceptance. He is my best friend and keeps me from feeling lonely in my huge Seal Beach home. He is the friendliest dog you will ever meet. He will kiss and love up any one whom he senses is a dog lover. So if you love dogs be prepared for a love fest.
I consider myself attractive, at least that is what others have always told me. I look much younger than my age. I hope that does not sound like boasting..it is just what has been said to me. I take good care of myself.
My perfect match would be gentle, kind and modest, not pompous or self absorbed. He would like being with me but also have separate interests of his own. I am looking for a good relationship and possibly a permanent one.
Looks are important but character is more valuable to me. I don't mind if he has a grown child with grandchildren.
